made a pledge to approach at least one woman a day. On day 7, I got my first number.

Went to a sports bar and sat down at table by myself. My friend had to use the bathroom first. Then when he appears, a very pretty waitress greets us and friendly teases me right away.

Her, “oh, I thought u were all alone when you first sat down, I thought how sad.” I escalate conversation and ask why that would be sad, maybe I’m from out of town blah blah blah. We talked a little about basketball and she was show IOI’s all night. So when she came back later in the night I asked for her number like this. I say, “so let’s make that game of h.o.r.s.e. happen between us. The loser has to buy the winner wings.” She agrees and puts her number in my phone.

I text her the following day around 11:50am. Me: “hi its (my name). met you last night and you owe me one game of h.o.r.s.e.” She immediately responds.

Her: Horse huh…

Me: “yea it’s a game that involves a round bouncy ball and a ten foot hoop or we can try a lil nerf hoop first and work our way up to the big one jk” she responds an hour later.

Her: Wowwww

Me: “wait til you see my 360 dunks from half court on a nerf hoop, then you’ll really be saying wow” there is no response, 4 hours of silence. Then I text again.

Me: “lets play horse this Thursday at 7 at (location).” She immediately responds.

Her: “I cant I’m having a party Thursday.

Me: “birthday? I’m free tomorrow night and I might be free to crash your party”

No response. Where did I go wrong this time?
