This is a tendency I've noticed, women just hate, hate the feeling of only having their own thoughts and mind to occupy them.

Men can go off into the wilderness for weeks, months, even years, there are virtually no women who pull Walden's like this. Women just seem incapable of doing anything by themselves for long periods, things like camping or surviving. It's not as if women are physically incapable of doing any of this, so it seems rather deeply pathological in the female psych.
