So this girl I used to like and who used to like me invited me to her graduation party after no talking for 2 months. My last words to her were "I thought you were different, but I don't think I should talk to you anymore, bye". She replied with okay, I hope things work out for you, bye." Then that was it for two months. I had moved on after learning our friendship/relationship wasn't much there anymore. She had some issues going on and it caused me pain so I decided I didn't want to deal with it anymore.
This was super hard cause I had way over invested myself into her emotionally, oneitis up the ass. We had been in contact for almost a full year. We never hooked up or anything cause of many reasons, but we both grew to like and care for each other, even though I never told her my feelings after sometimes being harassed with shit tests from her. And keep in mind, she's 17 and I'm 22, we met when she was 16, me 21. Although we both didn't know our ages until months after talking, I thought she was way older, maybe 17 or 18 then. Life would be different then. And please don't give me shit for not making a move faster, I had my own goals and valid reasons.
Anyway, after she invited me to her party I've been struggling with... WHY? I've been over thinking it but why the hell would she invite me to her party? She told me in the past she doesn't know how to act or talk to me in person(right before I stopped talking to her) so I don't understand. Does she think enough of me to want me there? Or does she still like me? I left out a thousand details but in general I'm confused. I even went as far as to ask her "why did you invite me to your party?" she told me "because I saw no reason why you shouldn't be there. (when it came to my control)" she has strict parents who are some what okay with me.
I'm sorry but I don't believe that for a second. The reason is because after she invited me (roughly 2 weeks ago) via text, I told her I wouldn't be able to come most likely since I'll be moved too another state by then. (I moved away from her 9 months ago, I live 2 hours away. We've hung out prior to two months ago but it was infrequent group outings) she seemed bummed out but still told me she's keeping me updated and the invite still will stand.
Later that night I had just had hell driving home and was pissed off at the world so I set up a bait story message on snapchat to see if I could get her to text me which worked. I needed someone to talk to and I wanted to talk to her since in the past I would talk to her after having a horrible night and she'd help me feel better, nothing wrong with that right? Well my story message was indirect and to anyone(wanted someone to talk too) she messaged me and since we've been talking for the last two weeks. Not crazy like we used too but enough, and not enough. She doesn't message me first, but I did it a few times and we've talked for hours when so.
I kinda regret doing the snapchat bait thing because moments later I came to my senses about wishing I wouldn't have reestablished contact cause I don't want the same shit happening again as before, but too late. We have a date thing set up for next week and I figure ima give her another chance to not blow me off. If she doesn't show then that's it, I'm done with her.
Anyway, I need some help in figuring out what to do. And if anyone has a good theory as to why she invited me I'd feel better. I'm moving in a few months but I'd like maybe another shot at seeing if she's worth hanging onto for later or not as a prospect. I'm moving to Florida, lot of hot Babes there so I'm ready for anything once I'm there.
