Yeah you mostly see older men do winks but I think that's because have that devil may care, irreverent way of living. I honestly admire it a lot. This post made me wanna incorporate it into my life.

It can help break a stare. But I've only done it walking by other women.

When they're looking at you, and they linger, that's my queue to give a wink. They either look down and blush or smile at you.

I love how they put their hand to their lip in either scenario. I fucking melt.

I've had it happen, where one got weirded out and another went robot on me. It was actually kinda funny. It made me smile like I just clued into an old joke. That's when they blink at you incredulously. Ha!

When I say something goofy or slightly flirty I have a sort of raised eyebrow smirk after that is pretty analogous to a wink.

I'm a natural winker. It was just something I've always done, and for a long time I thought it was a bad habit.

When I was around 25 I found out a group of girls that worked at my local cafe all had crushes on me. How did I find out? After hooking up with one, she told me the story of how I winked at her in her first week there. She gushed and told her new workmates about how the cute guy winked at her. To which one responded "What, he winks at ME!" and then in unison they all came to the realization that I winked at ALL of them. As it turns out, this was when they all realized that instead of this being bad for me (winking at multiple girls), instead it lit a fire under them to beat each other.
Oh what a realization that was.

I know hold my wink as a key asset. I never force it, it just comes naturally. Usually when dealing with any service industry, or in group scenarios (make innuendo to group, look at a girl and wink).

The stare is something I did have to work on. I can have pretty intense eyes, so I am either avoiding eye contacting or too intense. I have learnt to pull it back a little, but one thing that I read and implement is to look at them while imagining what you want to do to them. It brings a small, genuine smirk to your face and the right level of intensity.

Sure. People do lots of things.

Just do what you want to and if it's not working for you, change it.

The goal should be to develop a persona that is yours, not to necessarily choose a persona.

The difference being that one is natural, the other is not. This isn't to say don't take advice or don't try new things, on the contrary, it's to say keep what works for you and throw out the rest.

I understand your question, but you should really go field test it. If you're not getting what you want, change it, if you are, perfect it.
