There's a girl at work that had repeatedly been trying to make small talk a while back. Seemed like she could be interested, I blew her off for obvious reasons and we haven't talked in a couple weeks.
I walked by her earlier today, looking straight ahead and making no eye contact. She said something to me as I walked by, mask down (did she want me to see her face?), and repeated herself when I turned.
"You dropped your pocket".
For a sec, I thought she meant something. I say "What?" and give her a weird look.
Per Google, the phrase is an old one that's supposed to see if the other person is stupid enough to look. I did after a while (damn my shallow pockets), she asked why, and I shrugged, still giving her that what-the-fuck look, and walked on.
I'm not sure how to interpret this. She's younger, 18-ish, so this could just be a weird thing she does, but it seems weird given the context, especially since we're not aquainted and I don't think she even knows my name.
