This is part question; part rant.

So I had a conversation with my Dad today. He pointed out that he and others think I've become too cold. I'm not as open and friendly as I used to be.

I don't think it's too big of a deal. I am more focused, I don't fake it to make others happy or try to get them to think well of me. The people I was "cold" to, in front of my family were not people I particularly thought there was any need to be warm and open to. It would have been fake. One of them was weird, an ex-girlfriend that my Dad is such good friends with and close to that he invited her and her mother from Argentina to the U.S. I broke up with her about 6 years ago. Dad wanted to play the hero and give them a big invite to the U.S. I didn't really care to catch up with her when they invited me to lunch with her, which I didn't want.

My Dad's a pretty solid beta. And his critique went on to say, "You have no wife, no girlfriend." As a matter of fact, I have 3 plates in 3 countries, and pick up other ones on occasion such as a millionaire cougar as I discussed in a recent post. I'm not into LTR right now. I'm 35, good SMV. Had 8 new lays this year and a dozen other make-outs. Been on TRP for 2 years, and I'm still perfecting my SMV, and working on myself. Slept with a model, a millionaire, an athlete. No, I don't want an LTR right now.

As for the attitude, I don't want to end up like the beta he is. He's lucky he married my Mom a generation ago. He wouldn't be in a good position to get women the way things are in 2015. But he's happily married for 3.5 decades.

That said, it's true that I don't laugh or smile as much as I used to. I'm overall not as happy sure, but we know that's the BP fantasy that even if it made us romantic and happy, was destined for downfall.

But what do you guys think? Have you ever felt you were too intense, and then took a step back? Have people complained that you're too serious? Too cold?

What do you think?
