This community has been helpful in the past, so thought I would contribute by doubling down on some often mentioned obvious points that that are too often treated as trivial. Implementing the below if not already will improve dating, personal wellbeing and life in general. I assume many of you reading this will already be onboard with the points mentioned however if not I hope the following is useful. If you are trying to date and ignore the essentials you are putting yourself at a significant disadvantage. The good news, follow these simple points and it is likely you will notice a very real, quick improvement to your social interactions dating and otherwise.

There are many posts about guessing the reason for being freindzoned or ghosted etc when it is most likely as simple as there is another cool guy/gal that has addressed the following (or is willing to) and you haven't.

Before learning eye contact / kino and all the other expert shit please consider the below its all doable stuff and will improve your time/effort to results and reward drastically when applying the more advanced stuff.

  1. GYM / Excercise Yes excercise, obvious right? You don't have to be built like a brick shit house for success, but being the best version of yourself through exercise will boost your confidence, health, discipline and desirability.

Solution - Hire a PT or learn a basic training programme online that works for your bodytype. Build it in to your lifestyle until you start to enjoy it and it becomes habit. Whatever you are capable of do it at least 3 times a week. (Music helps a lot, long DJ mixes on Soundcloud or podcasts are my go to) Cost - There are many low cost ways to train if you wish to save money, calisthenics, jogging etc there is likely a solution for you, no excuses.

  1. Food. Solution - Improve diet. Goes hand in hand with the above, not gonna right a list of recipes but eat greens don't overdo the grain (bread, pasta etc) /sugar/processed shit/or alcohol - nothing wrong with the odd blowout but make the majority of the time (5nights a week) good food and not stuffing yourself. Not a dietician so do your research, get the food right it'll change your life. Doing paleo 50% of the time works for me but there are many approaches - usually built around eating more veg / protein / whole-foods and not too much sugar and grain.

Cost - If you wish to do this on a low budget, learning to cook is essential. As a byproduct you may even enjoy it!

  1. Don’t stink Solution - Odourless roll on deodorant after shower, always have oversupply of clean socks and underwear so your always able to be social without not having any clean. Find a good aftershave / perfume that suits you, fragrantica website is good to discover different ones. TF Ombre leather is good for those in cooler climates but I’m sure you’ll find something nice if you take your time. (Invest a bit in this, they last ages so get a good one trust me it makes a difference.)

VERY IMPORTANT - do not overspray your new scent. One on the neck should be plenty. You’ll equally hinder social interactions if too much is applied. P.S. Use conditioner on your beard if you have one.

  1. Clothes Solution - Make sure that you have at least one pair of shoes / casual trainers that are fresh looking and don’t stink. Never use these in the gym and never put them on with socks that have been in the gym, these need to be on hand for if you have to be presentable. If you are fashionable already great, if not learn what good fitting clothes look like on you, tapered jeans are often flattering, Edwins do good ones but I’m sure there are many. Cheap white t’s are good, I never used to wear them but have noticed a strong positive response since I have. (Wash separate from your other garms). Understand accessories- they can add interest to an otherwise simple outfit (Bracelet, hat, watch, sunglasses, glasses.) Do your own research and find what works for you but heading out to a date with no idea hoping for the best will definitely hold you back. After researching and improving it has made a significant difference to me. Cost - Recommend used stuff on Ebay, you can pick up great clothes for hardly anything. Just know your size before hand, I find a good approach is to find a premium brand that fits you perfectly then use that as your default size as opposed to basing it on a poor fitting low quality garment.

  2. Social media Not a fan of insta either but looks like its here to stay, Solution - I noticed a night and day response rate / meet rate from having good recent images in insta section of the dating apps. Doesn’t need to be anything fancy but showing you having fun with friends recently would likely improve things if not done already. Even better if there are some with opposite sex doing fun activities. I know its a pain in the arse but I highly recommend getting this done and keeping updated at least every 2-4weeks. This makes a noticeable difference, many people build their trust and understanding of you via socials (Insta) before speaking now. Don’t hate the player hate the game. If you don’t know anyone and need to fake it just get 5-6 pics with some other people and get the thing going, fuck it. All the above some real ABC points but honestly I think a lot of people still don’t get it. Before approaching whether a date, job, opportunity etc make sure you got your own ducks in a line. All points above should be attainable for those even with a small budget hope this helps jolt someone even though its been said by every lifestyle blog ever. Also don't just do this stuff on special occasions make it the norm so your not even thinking about it.
