Heyyy what's up guys. Here is the link to my part 1: https://www.reddit.com/r/seduction/comments/3aun9b/a_guide_from_just_a_random_guy_on_the_internet/
I realize that that post contains mostly basic information in it that a lot of you are probably thinking to yourself, "Blah blah blah.... Random Guy On the Internet, I KNOW ALL THAT STUFF ALREADY!"
You have to walk before you can run though.
So in my last part, I talked about how to start a simple conversation with a girl, and while I think I may have gotten a bit side-tracked in that example, I feel that the point was made and there was a somewhat generalized idea of how you should create a conversation. This is NOT to pick up the girl to go back to your house and sleep with you. If you're going to the cereal aisle in your grocery store to hook up with random chicks, then I don't have anything to tell you lol.
Okay, so we covered the basics. Good hygiene, look confident, smile as much as you can. Sure, those are all 101. Like preschool shit. You guys want to know the good stuff, I can tell. Why else would you be browsing the internet at 12 in the morning when you should be asleep? Yeah, I see you out there.
With the basics already covered, now I want to go into something I like to call, "Advanced Basics" (I actually just made that up right now LMAO). But really, the concept could be called Advanced Basics, because these are things that have a very good success rate when talking to girls and it seems like things work out for those that follow these.... tricks? Tips? I don't care what you call them, but they are pretty simple and easy to do. You don't need a magic spellbook to figure this out, it goes as follows:
The first, "Advanced Basic" I can offer you is to have a good personality. "But Random Guy I thought you told me to be myself??? I don't HAVE a good personality!!!" No, you do, you just don't know how to work it properly.
Let's think of another example, and this dates wayyyy back to when I was in high school, when I knew nothing about talking to girls. Now I only know some things, but something is better than nothing, right?
So when I was in high school, I had really bad problems with accepting myself for who I was. I thought I was boring and I needed to act a certain way for people to like me. I had friends that were SUPER popular, like they had girls all over them all the time, joking around and laughing like they were best friends. So I tried to mimic their personalities, I observed the way they talked and I copied everything they did, their likes, interests, hell, their laughing style, their clothing scheme, it got to such a point where I was thinking, "What would so-and-so say?"
As you all can probably tell by now, this was fucking stupid and it did NOT work. People can usually tell when someone is trying too hard or over acting a certain way. Unless you have years and years of training and how to impersonate another person, you are going to come off as awkward, strange, desperate, and needy. And that's exactly what I was at the time, I felt like I was clinging to these friends for support, so that people would accept me and give me that same attention, but what I finally found out my senior year of high school was that you don't need to act like someone else, you are your own person and you are very special in what you do. No one else can be you. So when you act like someone else, you are only putting on a faked version of someone else's already "trademarked" behavior. You can't take their true personality, it's not possible. I mean, it is, but it really isn't that character. It's only a weaker form and deep down you know you're faking it, and you know you are scrambling for answers because you don't know how to deal with things as your own self.
Now apply that to trying to talk to girls. If you try to act like some stud muffin at the bar, do you really think a girl is going to truly be taken by your charade? And even if she is, maybe she's had a bit too much to drink or maybe she is not familiar with dating, how long can you really keep that up? I can answer that with two words: not long.
Would you really want a girl to like the "fake" version of you? Or would you rather have her like the "real" you? Would you want your parents to like a "fake" you? Would you want your guy friends to like a "fake" you? If the answer to any of those above is yes, then I must apologize in saying you should probably see a therapist and talk about why you feel so insecure about yourself.
So back to the personality (I get sidetracked a LOT I'm sorry), let's say you're a quiet kind of guy. You are soft-spoken and you don't like to speak out much. How can you get yourself out there? What does having a "good" personality really do for your situation?
Well, being on the quiet side doesn't really limit your options. Let's say you engage a girl at a bar, she is just sitting down and she has sat next to you (okay maybe like one or two bar stools away but who cares). You may be thinking to yourself, "God, I wish I had something witty or clever to say to this girl so she'll be wrapped around my digiti manus?"
Okay man, hold up. You're over thinking again. Also, who said you need to say something witty or clever? How about a simple, "Hey, are you having a good night so far?" Oh shit I'm sorry Pick Up Artist McGee, was I supposed to tell the girl she has ravishing eyes while playing a violin and rescuing a box of puppies at the same time? I feel that pick up "tactics" are very exaggerated and, like I mentioned in my first post, really do not serve any purpose in real life. If you want to stay in fantasy land where you think you're some "super chill suave guy that can manipulate any girl to come crawling to him" then good luck, go write a book about it.
So like I said, you asked the girl how her night was going. Last time I checked quiet people don't have any trouble asking simple questions. So she may reply, "Oh it's going pretty well" or hell maybe something longer like, "Oh it's going great my friend Denise will be here soon blah blah blah." If your luck runs like diaherrea then you may get a very bland, "Fine thanks" with a wry smile, and if that is the case, then I STRONGLY advise you to move on. It really isn't worth it to try and chase this girl down if she gave you such an uninterested answer.
Now let's say this girl has a friendly demeanor and she says, "Oh it's going well, how about you?" Okay, good personality, remember? You're smiling, you're making eye contact, you are LISTENING TO HER (MORE ON THIS LATER, VERY IMPORTANT!!!), and you are going to say something in reply. Oh shit, what do you say? "Well quite honestly I'm bored and none of my friends made plans with me tonight" NOPE. NO. Wrong answer. Do not spread your negativity, do not complain, what is this random girl that has ZERO obligation to you supposed to say to that? "Ooooh I'm so sorry please let me iron your shirt and cook you a meal and massage your back and...." No, this girl will most likely give you a solemn answer saying that's too bad or something like that and you will just end up putting her on the spot, not in the right way either.
Here is something you could say that would work, "Oh it's going pretty good, just out looking to meet some new people and have a few drinks." Bam. Like, shizam. That's all you need to do. Don't over complicate things, talk to this person like you would any other person you would meet for the first time. Then, maybe she will say something like, "Oh that sounds like fun" or something like that, and then IF YOU REALLY WANNA PUT THE FLAVOR IN BE LIKE, "Yeah, and since I'm talking to you it looks like it's going pretty well so far light laugh with just the right amount of chuckle and a grin on top"
Okay, that is just a basic scenario, but do you see where I'm going with it? You want to be just the right amount of easy going and carefree, with just a touch of funny. IF YOU CAN MAKE A GIRL LAUGH, GOOD FOR YOU MAN. Seriously, I know I said before that maybe you're not a funny person and you should just be yourself, but if you can make a girl laugh, that lightens things up a ton. I know it may sound like I'm a hypocrite, but this is a very good strength to have and if you can utilize it, you will be off on a good foot.
Let's say you are not a funny guy. You try and try but it always seems to come out wrong. Perhaps you can use that failure to your success. Make jokes about how you try to be funny, and it always comes out wrong. Tell people you laugh at your own dumb jokes and people always stare. There are DEFINITELY people out there that can relate to that. I am sure some of you in the comments are chuckling to yourselves as your cat's in your laps wake up angrily from their nap because you're STILL at the computer reading this.
But really, try and reverse your failures into successes. If you are a pessimistic person, try and make girls laugh through sarcasm. If you are a very optimistic person, try and make jokes about how negative some people are over the smallest things. PLAY TO YOUR ADVANTAGES.
Shit, I get really side tracked lol. I hope those of you reading are making some sense of this gibberish I'm typing. I told some guy in the last thread that I was a very good writer... Lol I don't think that's shining through, yet.
The next tip I can give you is to be. a. good. listener. Seriously, this is for guys and girls. People like to be heard. People like to voice their opinions, thoughts, hell even what they had for breakfast that morning if someone is willing enough to listen. Don't be that guy that interrupts a girl when she is talking, please. It's rude. Don't do that to anyone actually. It shows you don't care about what the other person has to say, and you don't respect what they have to say. "BUT RANDOM GUY I DO BLAH BLAH BLAH IT JUST COMES OUT THAT WAY" Okay? So don't do it at all. Even if you don't intend for something to come out that way, it doesn't make it any more right that you did it.
Those are some "advanced basics" for you all. It's getting pretty late right now and I myself am getting tired. But I am going to continue into my next section if any of you are actually interested. My last guide got to the front page of this subreddit lol so there seems to be some interest. The next section will be getting into some tricky dicky stuff. Yeah, if you made it this far, you're not in baby shit anymore. You're past the introductory courses and now you're on your way to getting your major. But there are many things to learn, my friend, things even I haven't learned yet.
The next installment will focus on actually getting past the small talk conversations. Great, you talked about how hot the weather is, will that get you her number? Probably not, I mean, okay maybe. Some girls may be into that. But anyways, I'll try and help you guys out on how to create a closer bond with a girl to the "friend" stage, not the "stranger" stage.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
