So I've been hanging out with this girl, and I like her but I don't want it to turn into a relationship. She knows this, because I told her so before we had sex the first time. She texted me on Saturday night:

Her (9:43 PM): Are you in the city?

Me (10:04 PM): Nope, I'm home with dog. Pretty tired after hiking and pride. Just woke up from nap :) What's up?

Her (10:10 PM): I'm in town getting rowdy! Scandalous for me, as you know! Did you go to the pride parade? I wouldve come! I've always wanted to go since middle school!

Me (10:21 PM): It should get pretty rowdy tonight! I missed the parade because hiking, but I caught a bit of the concert. I still wanna go to the parade though

Her (10:24 PM): Is it still going on??

Her (10:24 PM): Were on boylston drinking.

Me (10:28 PM): Don't know, I'm home... Probably not? But tehre are some afterparties, at machine and house of blues (both close to boylston) i think. enjoy!

Her (10:35 PM): Come. The game is awesome. Drinks on us.

Her (11:33 PM): Heyyyyyyyu Come Stay in [her neighborhood]!?

Me (11:34 PM): Can't, got to sleep, early band practice tomorrow, sorry!

Her (11:37 PM): It's cool! I just wanna make sure you're still in casual mode before i make a mistake....

Her (3:10 AM): Hey!

Me (9:09 AM): Hey! sorry, I was asleep already, hiking wiped me out. Casual mode yes. I hope my not responding didn't impede your evening and you had an excellent time.

I'd been wondering if I'd hear from her again. I did this afternoon, two days later:

Her (3:05 PM): I didn't sleep with anyone that night by the way. If you care.

Me (3:14 PM): Whoa there! I don't consider that necessarily any of my business, but if you want to talk about it I'm game. How are things?

Me (4:16 PM): I'm glad you told me this, and I'm really sorry that's how you feel. Unfortunately, given where I am right now any commitment by me is either impossible or impossibly stupid. I'm quite open to strictly physical, though. I promise not to be so boyfriendly if we ever see each other again :-p
