In my experience late 20s women are much more likely to bring up STDs and ask about test results than early 20s women. I can see your logic about infections accumulating over time, but many things are also treatable, and older people are less likely to take risks. I always like it when a women brings up STD test results, because it tells me that she's careful and probably less likely to have something.

it can't morph, but you can get either kind in either place. hsv-1 is usually on the mouth, and hsv-2 is usually on the genitals. you can get either kind in the other place, but it won't change into the other kind. you can also have both.

I can't tell you how many times someone has failed to respond to one message, and then when I follow-up four or five days later is super enthusiastic, wants to meet, etc. I used to do what you suggest, which is to stop contact and not retry, but I realized I was missing out because it turns out lots of people are happy when you retry.

It's not about falling for something. It's a way to re-open the conversation without seeming needy and desperate. "Hey, are we still doing this?" or "Did you get my message?" are needy and desperate. Some variation on "You aren't doing this very well" is not.

Maybe, whatever. I posted something that I found useful; I was attempting to be helpful. I don't appreciate the condescending, dogmatic response.

My game and I are both quite excellent, thank you very much. Sometimes people are busy or distracted and just require a little push.

All of these have gotten positive responses: "Yeah, I like going out alone." (Most people will actually respond with something like "You're brave.") "Yeah, going out alone makes it easier to meet new people." "I'm suppose to meet my friend ___, but I think he's standing me up to work late." "I was on a date. She went home but I felt like staying out." "Yes. [change subject]" "No, I'm here with you."

I’m confused. This isn’t asking for advice at all; it isn’t even a question. It’s more like a text message field report. I didn’t mark it [FR] because it’s not exactly a field report, but maybe I should have.

That's kind of the goal, yeah. I'm far from an MPUA, but I am trying to open many girls. I do it this way online, too.
/r/seduction11/05/12 11:17 PM

All of that is true, except that nine times out of ten it leads to an on-the-spot number exchange. Having the improbably cool number is key to that. In the tenth time, I assume she was probably a dud anyway.

It is risky. That's kind of the point--it displays a lot of confidence.
/r/seduction11/05/12 08:01 AM

This accomplishes that because they almost always try the number right away.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm not doing everything right, but I think I'm learning. I've actually been doing the online thing for years, having met more than 60 girls that way and f-closed more than a dozen of them, but I've only been studying PUA for the last couple months. The B girl is really atypical. Only once before has a girl invited me to her place for a first date (and the plan that time was to cuddle and watch a movie), and I think I've met just as many girls who were more attractive than their ph…

This is normal human interaction. You lock on someone when they're talking, and then look around more when it's your turn to talk. If you can lock more and longer while you're talking, that can be powerful because it's a bit out of the ordinary.

I'm not going to post my username here because I don't want it associated with this reddit account, but I'll PM it to you. In short, no, I'm okay but not especially attractive, and I don't show much in my photos (for professional reasons), so it wouldn't matter if I were. I would say I have a profile that's a good mix of funny and real, and I always send messages that are very much tailored to the recipient. I try to keep them short and funny or at least weird, and I usually ask an open-ended qu…

Huh. I'm still not seeing that as far as cuteness, but I haven't done POF nearly as long, and I've met many, many OKC girls. As for your luck, that might just mean they're easier to impress.
/r/seduction04/04/12 06:29 AM
1

Huh. I've found OKCupid girls to be much more attractive, generally. Maybe we have different taste. (Also, the tiny, stretched-out photos make POF a generally unattractive experience.)
/r/seduction03/04/12 10:04 PM
1

I've looked through dozens of profiles on POF and found maybe two that seemed worth writing to. Most seem stupid and unattractive. Where do you live? (I'm in Boston.)

You handled that extremely well. The question for you is whether you want a relationship with a girl who goes on dates with other guys while she has a boyfriend. Of course, if a relationship isn't where you're headed then that isn't a problem.

Most. If I approach 10 times in a night and have what I feel are five #-close opportunities, I will move on without asking for a number from four of them. I don't like getting numbers I don't intend to call.

Walk up to her. Say this: "Would you like to go to the prom with me?"
/r/seduction16/03/12 01:41 AM

When this happens, I just laugh, smile really broadly, and keep doing whatever we were doing before as if nothing happened.

I don't know about any special tricks. Just make yourself do it, and if you do it enough it will start to feel natural. Mixed sets might be a good way to start. Win over the guys and go from there.
/r/seduction14/03/12 06:08 PM

Set a time to leave before you go out, and then stick to it. Have a reason ready, too, if you need that: "Hey, I've gotta go--I'm working early tomorrow. Have a great night."
/r/seduction14/03/12 02:23 PM

This sounds like a great start to me. Talking to guys can be fun and good for your confidence, but you definitely need to talk to some girls next time, so you don't fall into a pattern of only meeting guys.

I'd go further and say that one can be both a PUA and a feminist. I've considered myself a feminist for many years, and it hasn't prevented me from getting into pickup, though there are certain things in pickup that I find distasteful and therefore avoid. Sometimes it's even useful: Woman: "Buy me a drink." Me: "I don't buy drinks for women." Woman: "Why not?" Me: "I'm a feminist."

Of, of course I'm not giving up. I've had too many good nights before to do that. However, I won't be going to that kind of bar again, probably. Also, I do better, I think, when I peacock a bit, which I wasn't doing last night. (I don't think it's necessarily girls' responses to the peacocking that improve, but how it changes my attitude.) I think I'm accustomed to going out solo, which forces me to talk to people and makes me not really care. With two other guys there, it's easy to just hang ou…

That's annoying. There's probably not much you can do about that beyond a "sincere" apology.
/r/seduction09/03/12 07:17 PM

Thanks. Yeah, I have been having a good time. What did you kicked out for? I suppose that could make the difference. Also, have you tried being friendly to the bouncer since then? It might be too late now, but having a bouncer on your side can only be a good thing.
/r/seduction09/03/12 06:08 PM

That's a good challenge. Don't let anything stop you. The first few times I went out by myself, I waited too long at home procrastinating with various things, and then got to the bar too late, which was no good. Make sure you just get out there.
/r/seduction09/03/12 07:08 AM

Oh, yeah, that makes sense. I figure it's like dealing at NA.

It's not that bad after a couple times. I actually like it, because it forces me to meet people. At first, I would lie when people asked who I was there with, saying either that I'm visiting from out of town and don't know anyone, or that my friend didn't show or had just left. Now I say I'm solo, and people are usually impressed.
/r/seduction08/03/12 09:10 PM

It depends a lot on her profile, but I think some general guidelines are: be brief, be different, be funny, show you read her profile, and above all give her something that's easy to respond to. Ask to meet as soon as you have evidence of interest.
/r/seduction08/03/12 08:25 PM

This might be totally wrong, but: Did you try picking anyone up at SLAA?

Move the handbag. Don't ask, just do it smoothly and naturally while talking. The other night a girl put her bag on the floor between our feet, and I kept accidentally stepping on it, so I tried to pick it up to move it--but I lifted it upside-down and everything fell out. This meant that we ended up leaning under the table together and picking everything up, which was a great kinopportunity.

Ignore the naysayers. If you aren't comfortable having sex with a really drunk girl, that's totally reasonable. If you aren't interested in hookups from parties, that's reasonable too. It's good to get outside your comfort zone, but not in ways that compromise your values.

Ask questions, preferably questions you genuinely want to know the answers to. Listen more than you talk. Smile and maintain eye contact. Relax. Be yourself.

This may be so, but I've actually found gayer than average environments to be good for picking up women. They let their guard down. (A few weeks ago I met a girl at a gay club and she pretty much grabbed my hand and dragged me out of there within 30 seconds of meeting. Seeing a bunch of hot gay guys going at it got her turned on, and I just had to be in the right place at the right time.) Though you're right about flashily dressed. My rainbow shirt may have sent the wrong message.
/r/seduction01/03/12 03:52 PM

Not really, no. It's the only after hours club in town, so it's pretty much anyone, but it does get gayer as the night goes on.

She was dancing and she was fun, so I don't care so much if she wasn’t the hottest babe in the club. It doesn't really affect my ego I guess. I'm kind of uncomfortable with the whole rating thing, actually, so I think I might stop doing it.
/r/seduction28/02/12 01:26 AM

Ah, I left something out. I thought she texted herself, but there's nothing showing in my phone history, so I think she must have done it wrong. (Fixed that.) Thanks, but are other people not honest with ratings? I try to be, but for all I know my scale could use some calibration.
/r/seduction27/02/12 07:44 PM

Oh yeah, I'm with you. It was seriously frustrating. I could see a case for "saving" in certain circumstances, like if the friend is really drunk, but as long as she's competent to decide what she wants to do, it's ridiculous.

Hey, baby. That's a nice screen name you got there.
/r/seduction25/02/12 11:36 PM

Oh, also, I've learned recently that I can now break the bathroom code without too much pain. When I'm taking a leak, I open the guy at the urinal next to me. If you do it right, surprisingly, this can be pretty cool. This time there was a guy wearing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirt, so I just said, "Whoa, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." He got this huge grin and said "Yeah!" and I said "Yeah!" Later I passed him on the dance floor and there were more "Yeah!"s.

You can't always avoid hurting someone. That's just life. You might be able to respond by telling her about something you really like about her, but ultimately, an i-love-you wants an i-love-you-return, and if you can't provide that then there's no right answer.
/r/seduction24/02/12 09:55 PM

I'm not worried about it! I just thought it odd, and how she handled it was kind of revealing.
/r/seduction24/02/12 09:09 PM

Thanks! It's not the approach for the kiss that was awkward, actually. It's that the kiss itself was really weird. It was like a random mashing of lips and tongue that just didn't synch up. But you're right that earlier probably would have been better, since I would have been into it and I think she would have too.
