Take vocal lessons. I'm serious. This might make sense for someone who already has a bit of a music background. Maybe you've played guitar in the past, some piano, whatever. If not, then that's cool too.
I'm a guitar player and I recently decided I wanted to add some vocals to my arsenal. My singing voice was HORRIBLE so I knew I needed legitimate vocal lessons from a professional. I've only been going once a week for a month, and practicing on my own whenever I can, and I already notice a HUGE difference in my voice.
This will strengthen your regular speaking voice tremendously and make you more confident in all types of social interactions, trust me. I'm not saying to go out a try to get a fucking record deal. I honestly still suck, but I'm don't sound anywhere as bad as I used to. I really believe learning to sing can be huge for overcoming anxiety.
And as a bonus, how fucking cool is it to be able to sing to a girl when you bring her over? Maybe get a acoustic guitar, learn a few chords, and your SET. Not only do girls love a guy who can sing, they like to see a guy who is driven and likes to learn new things and pick up new hobbies. Having something like this you're interested in or passionate about I think is a huge turn on. Just the other night I was able to sing and play "best of love" by the Eagles to my lady friend. She absolutely ate it up!
I'm not really too big into "gaming" or PUA. I just thought I'd recommend this to you guys because besides the improvements in singing, I've noticed I'm a more confident speaker because my voice is LOUDER and MORE CLEAR.
What do you guys think? Any questions? Let me know! Cheers
EDIT Glad you guys got my post. I wasn't sure how it would be taken here. Seems like you guys got the jist of it, that's great. The more you use your voice, whether it be singing, or not, the stronger it will become. It's just like lifting weights. Your vocal chords are a muscle. One of my college professors told me this when I told her I'm not a good speaker. She said, "you know why certain people are good at speaking? It's because they practice speaking"
