Advice on cold approaching?

its not what you do its how you do it. if i did that i'd seem like a creep. but maybe it will work for you. everyone has their own style. go out and practise, a lot, and observe how others do it.

personally i usually just ask 'how you doin today?' and go from there. see how they react and make smalltalk. then 'close' by offering your number and asking if you could take them out sometime

This works better if you’re physically attractive, if you aren’t then you can expect a lot of flakey numbers and no dates. This is because you’re not giving her anything else to be attracted to except for your looks since you didn’t form any kind of emotional connection or gain any investment from the girl, so mileage will vary pretty much based on that.

Also I agree with u/STD_Tyler that exchanging instagrams is 10x more ideal than numbers because with instagram she can see you at your best as well as your interests, and that you’re not a serial killer.

If your instagram sucks, I suggest you look at some male models and male celebs for inspiration and invest in that. Luckily when it comes to the instagram pages of the average guy the bar is basically on the floor, so if you put even a little more effort into it, you’ll stand out a whole lot more to any girl you meet via cold approach when she follows you.

Short approaches like that work for me because I have a good Instagram, so it takes off the heavy lifting of demonstrating my value without talking. Sometimes they initiate the DMs too after just 1 minute approach.

If you are closing phone #s you have to have longer interactions...
