Advice on going out alone?

When I was single, I used to go out alone a lot. It's quite harder than going with a wingman, but not impossible.

The thing about going alone is that you have to be a very high energy dude. Girls are usually in groups. Your job is either be the center of attention at the right times, or separate her from her group. The former is easier with a couple of girls, say 2 or 3. For the latter, I highly recommend befriending the group and becoming part of it. It works.

It's not to hard to go out alone. I do it all the time. I think once you do it a few times you will realize it's not that scary. Plus it will take you out of your comfort zone and force you to talk to strangers.

I personally prefer to go out alone because then I can stay on my own agenda and not have to feel like I need to "entertain" my buddy.

I'm not sure exactly what kind of suggestions you are looking for but here's what I got:

I agree if you don't usually go out by yourself, definitely don't get super wasted. Keep your keys and wallet practically pinned inside of your clothing so they can't fall out/get picked out. Make sure your phone is well charged and secured to your person and carry some cash as well as your card. If you don't have phone numbers of someone you can call if you need help late at night, write one down and keep it on you.

See if there's any local events going on during the days you have free time. Anything that you're interested in or think might be cool. Try meetups and local subs for your area.

Going out to the bar alone = don't drink too much + talk to everyone, EVERYONE, like they're already your friend and have a good time. If someone you're attracted to you asks you more than 2 questions, they're interested in some way, offer to hang out sometime if they're local and get their number.
