I'm a 28 yr old FT student that recently moved back home to start back with school. I've been doing alot of the "life planning/brooding/stay-in" type stuff, and think I've set up some good future plans to be the person I would like to be, but I want to start living for the moment a little more (see: at all). I mean, I got to the point where I didn't even try for a very long time to even attempt to talk to girls, but I'm finally coming around to the idea that it's okay to want more for yourself, and that staying in all the time and down-right avoiding social situations in order to save money/ avoid awkwardness is not exactly normal.

I've always been introverted. considered by others to be stand-offish or boring probably, so that's why I've been interested in reading a little here on seddit lately. made me realize that i'm not alone in my habits, and that maybe some of the little little things that i think are part of my individual personality are simply just bad habits.

anyways, i haven't seen anything to this effect yet posed as a question so here goes:

I consider the fact that I live at home with my Mom to be soul-crushingly depressing, and it keeps my confidence low. are there any guys out there that have been successful making the shift away from AFC while living at home, or will I just need to bite the bullet and move out by dipping into my savings?
