The more you turn a hookup into getting to know them they will run off. The reason for a hookup is just to fulfill a need for desires being met, once you ask them to rid some of their anonymity by sharing details about them they lose that but of mystery and would rather just not continue this. Id say if you looking to hookup let the date be the screen they see, aka, lets go to a bar, get some drinks and then come over to my place/her place, they get the idea. Just have fun with it man and see if this doesn't help.

Stop talking about hooking up over text.

The girl may be 100% DTF - but most girls don't want to feel like they're a slut.

"Come over and lets fuck" - makes her feel like a slut, and she'll just ghost you and you won't meet.

"Come over for X" - she'll come over to do X, while deep down inside she knows she wants sex.

"Come over and lets fuck" - no

"Come over and lets cuddle" - yes

They're both the same - just not so in your face implied to scare the girl away.

I don’t know you good enough to know what you’re doing wrong, but I have some general advice that might serve you: Try to plan on DOING something. Maybe go to a museum or a small concert for example. You can even tell her to bring a friend, and you will bring one too. Then he can take care of the girlfriend, while you enjoy some time with your date. It might be easier for her to find time for a concert, then a regular meet-up.

Banter her and don't make it seem like you need the sex it's no big deal for you.

Another big tip is to stop meeting women online. Meet them in person and try as many instadates as you can to reduce flakes. You are in college so there is plenty of girls there. Get those and clean up that place.
