Just wanted to share my success with everyone as I'm feeling pretty damn good right now.

Basically I've been chatting with this girl for a while. We're friends but aren't close and haven't really hung out a ton or anything. Friendly enough that we say hey when we pass on the streets but not a whole lot more.

Until recently! We were kinda just shooting the shit and I realized that I was actually really attracted to her. Really good conversation, very cute, and smart. So I started kicking around the idea of asking her out one day, but then started to talk myself out of it. Right as I was about to convince myself she was gonna say no, I switched mentalities and realized something.

Fuck it I said to myself. Why the hell not? Nothing catastrophic is going to happen if she says no. Why was I getting all worried and bound up?

As it turned out she was interested and said yes. We had an awesome date and I offered to have her come over so I can make her a nice dinner with a good wine pairing for a second date.

It's not the biggest accomplishment, but I think it really represents a step in the right direction. Every time I've met a girl that I would consider dating or talking more seriously to, I've waited until I was certain that she was actually interested. But I get it now. The world isn't gonna end if she says no. You're not going to lose your job or your family or whatever. It's a damn date! Just grow a pair and ask.

TL;DR just fucking ask! She's may be more interested than you think!

Apologies for any errors. On my phone at the moment. Auto correct is a fickle beast.
