After a recent break-up I went out with a couple of friends. I had my eye on a nearby girl but since I've never approached random girls in clubs (I've met most of my hookups on facebook beforehand), I didn't know how to do it.

And there I was, thinking way too hard about what I'm going to say to that girl I had my eyes upon. I told my friend to give me a cigarette and then go to that girl and ask for a lighter. Before I went up to her, I felt like there was a fucking boulder on my back because I thought she would tell me to fuck off and get a lighter from someone else.

I went to her, touched her lightly and said "Hi, got a lighter?" As she was looking for it in her purse for about half a minute, I didn't know what to say, I kinda froze. 5 mins later, she came to me and asked for a cigarette and I still didn't have guts to go back to her table and start a conversation. 10 mins later she left the club.

I realized my problem wasn't sweating or acting like a retard in front of random girls...what I'm really missing is a "script" I can read from because I just can't think of anything to say. Any advice on how to attain that "YOLO" attitude?
