Too many times I've been in this exact scenario with a girl. It's normally not even a move to become an orbiter of yours. It's a move to get a short term boost of external gratification/validation from someone who has already shown interest.

The fact you asked for her number in the past (which she ignored), was a sign to her that you have interest. If you haven't spoken in a while, she is probably looking to test to see if you are still interested in her. Once she gets that validation she'll probably dip again.

You could message her. None of us really know what will come of it. In my experience however, it's best to keep living, build your own value, then when she reaches out to you, it's your decision if you reciprocate.

Some women will say no to dating then stop fishing hooks for attention.

I had one who always wouldn’t txt that she’s alone o lonely or wish someone would come over, I took it as a lead but she always rejected. She just wanted attention and the power to reject.

Plenty of fish is not just a website it’s a way of life.
