I feel as though one of the most common problems with guys when it comes to approaching girls is confidence in themselves. They won't approach a girl because they think "Oh but what if she doesn't like me?" or something along the lines of how they aren't good enough for the girl (putting the girl up on a pedestal). But the thing is, you're a person with interests, and hobbies and goals and you live your life a certain way, so how do you know that the girl you're looking at isn't good enough for YOU?
Obviously this applies if you have some sort of standards like, "she can't do hard drugs" or "she has to be vegetarian" or "she has to like spongebob". What if she hates spongebob? And instead of not liking her for not liking spongebob, you don't like yourself for not approaching? I'm just kidding here, but I hope you see my point. Now I'm NOT saying that you should look at every girl and think to yourself, "Man she's probably not good enough for me" and not approach.
What I'm trying to say is that the girl who you approach could be super cool, but just not your type. If you met her and the interaction went well, you still might not like her.
tl:dr: Just approach the girl because you may find that you don't even like the girl/doesn't fit your standards/you guys wouldn't get along anyways.
Let me know what you think
