or you could wait until summer comes around, ask her on the very last day, figure out the bro shes banging is taking her on a backpacking trip where she will for sure get pregnant, and then sit and cry all summer about how you should have made a move earlier

Then just don't. If you're afraid of being labeled a creep and polarizing, then don't talk to girls in your class cause you'll have to do it eventually. Approach on campus, not in class.

How big is the class? If it a 200 hundred person class you can get completely blown out and just sit on the other side of the room and never see her again.

But generally think of it more like social circle game just sit next to her and start a normal conversation. You will see her tons more times automatically so you can play a slow game. Then when you feel familiar enough mention something fun you are already doing with a group, group events are great because there is way less pressure on both of you. I often find some cool cultural festival or new restaurant etc and throw a facebook event up to get a group going. It's also a super attraction trigger to be the one always planning stuff and having something fun and exciting to do. Once you get her to meet up outside the classroom environment then kick in your real game.
