how do you plan on setting up the punching bag? I want to do the same but those things are heavy and I don't want to ruin the damn ceiling.

I agree with everybody here that says to not set your apartment up to impress women, but...

why would you put a weight bench and a punching bag in your apartment? Are you really going to be doing bench presses in your house? I mean, unless you live in a huge apartment that just sounds silly. You sound like you are trying to overcompensate for the masculinity your ex-wife took away from you.
