That's because you are not connecting in person before you ask for their number.

You need to understand that for people going out with a stranger on a date is usually not something they want. Hence you need to make sure they don't see you as a stranger first which is done by talking for longer in the approach.

Maybe going for an instant date right there on the spot when you meet them or simply by talking 10-15 minutes first face to face.

This is very important when you do cold approaches because a cold approach that's done in 1 minute or 2 simply wont lead anywhere more often than not.

If you can't talk for 10 mins at least in the cold approach then you should not bother doing cold approaches at all because you are wasting your time and get the same problem over and over because you are not fixing the issue which is "this guy is a stranger".

If you are stranger, you won't fix that by texting her more or anything. You can only fix that by having a longer conversation in person. This doesn't guarantee every girl will connect with you despite having a conversation, but it's the requisite to give it a chance to have a genuine connection.

And anybody who tells you that 2 mins is fine has no idea what they are talking about and are most likely getting the same problem as you, lots of numbers that lead nowhere.

It's better to get less numbers that are high quality because you connected properly, than having tons of numbers that are low quality because you did not connect at all with each other.

Because getting a number is not the goal of cold approaching, the goal is to form such a strong connection that the date is inevitable and even she is the one who can't wait to see you again.

Not sure where you're located, but getting a phone # or socials something you do when you can't escalate anymore.

Consider it in terms of risk, you get # or socials - they may never reply or one wrong line fucks it all up. So getting these things has inherent risk.

So instead, you escalate, if you have interest, get attraction. If you have attraction, physically escalate. If you've physically escalated, work out logistics and find a place to fuck her.

Whereas if you go your route, open, contact close, text/dm, logistic to day 2, do day 2, then redo interest, attraction physical escalation, then sex.

Its basic strategy to realize the longer and more complicated plan is more prone to failure than a shorter simpler one. Hence going from opening to lay is easier and less risky than going for contacts. You're going to have to go through all the same last steps from the day2 point anyways. So instead, cut out the bullshit and don't contact close.

Its completely possible to approach a chick in start bucks and then fucking her 15 mins later.

It’s a standard modus operandi for women that don’t want to deal with direct rejection to give you their contact number with the intention of ghosting you in the safety of their apartment. You should make her want to meet with you again, create a natural connection, trigger proper emotions, charm her with your attractive masculine traits. Taking a number is not a goal per se, should be just a necessary stepping stone at some point, to keep in touch and potentially organize next meeting, because you ALREADY have nice chemistry and some interesting tension going on between you.
