I've seen this girl around my campus at school for a while and every time I see her I tell myself to go talk to her, but never do.

Today I saw her in the library and went up and introduced myself. She was surrounded by her friends and I was a bit nervous, so the approach did not flow very well. Nonetheless, I got her number.

I used to fantasize about this girl, but after the approach I realized I've been projecting my ideals upon her and that the approach itself was not that big of a deal. I am planning to approach consistently over the next few weeks and even if I don't see this girl again it was a learning experience.
