You reek of insecurity and that is why you have no luck. I can tell right away that you hold grudges and contemplate your previous approaches and those negative thoughts are stacking up leading to more diminishing results. Cold approaching is like a chore for you. Not the right mindset.

Here is what you do. Next time you cold approach you do it to make someone feel good for a moment and with no intention of pick up. You just want to see someone smile and realize that it is in your power to shake up anyone's day.

You approach males and females you have to be truthful. If you notice someone wearing a nice outfit and you really like it you approach them and truthfully tell them that. Then you can ask them where you could buy such outfit if it is a male outfit (giving them value -complimenting them on their choice of style). You could ask a female the same question adding that you have some girl friends (only if you do) to whom you would recommend shopping in X place.

Nothing more. When you are ready for pick up you approach only the girl you really like. Not maybe, only definite "yes".
