You're letting PC culture affect you. You need to recognize that women are horny and just as sexual as us men. They know we aren't approaching to be their friends, but because we ultimately want to get inside of them.
They know that if they don't look the part they don't get approached. Stop filtering your masculinity. If you think she's sexy get your vibe right and say that.
If you want to fuck her get your vibe right and make it clear. You don't even have to say it directly. You're only goal when talking to a chick should be to create sexual tension. Not be innocent or a friend.

What does she do on the bus? Read a book or listen to music? I mean if you guys see each other quite often on the same bus do you guys usually make eye contact, and do you say hello as she walks past?

I think your “IN” would be asking her who she’s listening to, and what kind of music she likes. After a few days of talking to her while on the bus then maybe you guys could exchange numbers.

I’d strike up normal convo like “hey I see you take this bus a lot, how are you?” Kinda normally, then at her/your stop say something about it was nice talking to her and offer her your number, that way you’re not being objectifying and it’s up to her to text or call you if she’s interested.

"We go the same route all the time, and I always wonder what you're thinking/reading/listening to."
She'll answer. You'll comment on her answer. Conversation started.
The problem isn't the opener, but that everyone on the bus/train is listening and judging you and her.

I feel you, I don't got the confidence nor the motivation. No one to blame but myself

43F What about handing her your name and number on a card and see if she contacts you. If you don’t hear from her, don’t approach. Perhaps this avoids making other rides less awkward.
