Are testing PU methods in-field repeatedly good enough to know if they are sound methods?

I think it's totally weirder to go to a dark place with loud music, getting drink after drink till you're more than tipsy, approach girls dressed as whores and shout in their ears to make them understand what you're talking about. Pickup, at least as I see it, is the opposite of this crazy method the majority of guys use to get laid. Pickup is approaching girls in normal environments and have a connection with girls that is not merely physical, as the one we have in clubs.

So I think there is nothing to put in a better light. Pickup brings the way to approach girls back to a natural way of doing it.

Interesting thought. I think it would be a tall order to prove wether or not something works in a scientific way, because there are so many variables at hand in seduction situations.

But it can be done I'd say. What's one PU method that you'd like to test?

Too many uncontrollable variables. The user is already assuming appearance is not a factor (of both the user and the person who is being seduced).

I worked with someone who was getting her PhD where she played the confederate on dating website for research. She told me that the data collection for only six dyads was incredibly frustrating. Just my thoughts on making it a social science.
