I've never done this before. To explicitly show interest in a girl is something i haven't done since middle school. And it's been a huge monkey on my back.
Today, @ my gym i approached a girl. I asked for her name and said she looks familiar. The conversation kinda died after that.
But i was determined. I was not going to leave with what ifs in my head.
Before i left i found her again and introduced myself. She seemed very nervous but was smiling. I asked for her number (something I've never done before). She said umm and hesitated for what seemed like forever all while smiling. I said it's ok if she's not interested and eventually she said she had a bf (I'm pretty certain it's just an excuse). I said it's alright and that i just wanted to ask. She asked if i come there often and made some small chit chat (i think she was trying to be nice). I cut it short and headed for the lockers.
The feeling i felt afterwards was nothing short of AMAZING. I cannot describe how liberating it was to actually do something like that. I've always been the type to beat around the bushes and hope something happens. Today, i put her in the spotlight.
And I'm sure i can improve next time. I was at my absolute worst. I've been sick with the flu; my gym outfit looked like a wardrobe malfunction; my voice wasn't dominant; I had zero game. The only thing i did right was hold soul piercing eye contact.
But I'm still proud. It's a huge step for me and I've never felt so alive.
My advice to anyone who hasn't done it before is to just go and do it for no one but yourself. It will honestly feel amazing.
I don't know how long the feeling will last but i have some questions for you guys: What should i do different next time? Based on her reaction, do you think i had a chance? Was i being a creep?
