What would your life be like if you could attract any girl you want? Ask just about anyone and they will tell you that who you attract into your life is only determined by chance, but this is because they do not understand one powerful attraction theory. This one attraction theory will make not only girls chase you but will make everyone want to be around you. This concept is called the halo effect and, in this write-up, I will explain exactly what it is, how it works and how you can use it to attract amazing people into your life!

So what is the halo effect? It’s the psychological bias that makes people assume that good-looking people also have good qualities and traits. Put simply the halo effect causes people to assume that beautiful people are automatically more competent successful and intelligent than others. Researchers have performed many studies on this psychological bias and they have discovered countless times that the halo effect is constantly in action. You see, during many of the tests conducted, beautiful people received more help than less attractive people. Now, if you’re sitting there thinking that you life will suck if you aren’t stunningly attractive, you’re only partly wrong. Sure, attractive people have a natural advantage over less attractive individuals when it comes to having others want to be in their presence, luckily, as I’ll explain in this video, there are ways of adopting the halo effect regardless of your appearance.

But before we dive into how you can use the halo effect yourself, let’s look at just how powerful this bias is. For starters, one shocking study of the halo effect showed that attractive people are more likely to get a lighter jail sentence just because they're better looking. Before you flip out about how unfair this kind of treatment is, take into account that this bias works on a subconscious level which means most people don't even realize they're biased in favor of attractive people.

This occurrence explains why a lot of guys have difficulty approaching girls. If the girl is really attractive, you're automatically biased to think that she's also intelligent, wealthy, competent and successful which makes hitting on these females all the more daunting. Even if logically you have overcome the intimidation of approaching hot women, this phenomenon takes place in the subconscious of your mind so you won't even be aware that the person's attractiveness has anything to do with why you think they're amazing.

While there have been numerous cases of the halo effect taking place, the truth is that no one really knows why this effect takes place. One theory proposes that the constant bombardment of beautiful people in the media has created a link in our minds that anyone who is attractive is rich, smart and successful. Think about all the movies you’ve watched in your life. Just about all of them have an attractive man or woman in lead roles which draw in the attention of viewers. Examples include Tom Cruise in the Mission Impossible movies and George Clooney in the Oceans movies.

So I’ve mentioned that the halo effect works at the subconscious level but I bet you can think back to when you’ve been impacted by it. Think of the last time you interacted with a very attractive person. Most of the time, you experience good feelings when them and this might explain why we automatically assign good qualities to good-looking people even if we know nothing about their true character.

Now you already know that beautiful people get lesser jail sentences but here’s another wild fact for you to consider. Daniel Hamermesh, a University of Texas psychologist who studies beauty in the workplace, has found that a person with above-average looks earning $20 an hour over a 40-year career would earn $1.69 million, while a person with below-average looks would pull in $1.46 million. That’s over $200,000 more for just being genetically pre-disposed to the handsome genes. Beyond the dollars and cents, attractive individuals and have more friends than people with below average looks.

This is important because all success in life comes from your relationships with other people and this might help to explain why attractive people seem to always hit the luck jackpot. By having an aura of attractiveness, they're more likely to form better relationships which can translate into higher paying jobs and fame as mentioned in the prior examples.

At this point, I imagine you have a solid grasp on what the halo effect is so we can now dive into topic of how you can use this technique to attract any girl you want into your life. While I have just crammed down your throat the idea of how important superficial looks are in creating this effect, you don’t need to be a model to pull this off. In fact, minor improvements in your current appearance can go a long way. But at the core is this psychological phenomenon is interpersonal attraction. Simply put, this is the concept that people are drawn to one another based on their interests, values and beliefs which is why many couples who have things in common succeed in their relationships. One way that I have used this concept in my own life is to first find out what peoples’ interests are and then cultivate a solid understanding of this domain. Once, you do this, conversing with these people becomes easy and they will automatically be drawn into you given that they feel like they are bonding with you over one of their favourite topics. I have actually used this method to rise up the corporate ladder at work by developing knowledge in fields of interest of my managers and directors which has allowed me to gain favourable reviews on all my projects. The same principle works with girls. If she likes horses, you better find out everything you can about their four-legged friends and after you get her talking about her favourite animal, you two will instantly grow closer as she associates you with something she loves.

If we break this concept down into a strategy it would go something like this:

First, you need to decide what type of person you want to attract (i.e. what type of girl are you looking for?) Do you want a sporty girl, a gamer chick? This is the first thing to determine.

After you know who you want to attract you have to understand the person really well. In other words, you need to understand their personality which can be accomplished through casual dates or hanging out with the person. Think of this like undertaking a recon mission where you want to learn as much about her as possible.

The third part of the strategy and this is key is to realize that like attracts like. To make someone attracted to you, you must show signs of similarity which means you need to show that you hold some of the same interests, beliefs or behaviors as the other person. For example, if she likes horses then you bet your ass you like horses too. If she hates ice cream (although if she does you probably don’t want her anyways) then you hate ice cream too. This might seem like a very simple strategy but it's insanely effective.

Now you're probably wondering what all this has to do with the halo effect and how you can use it to your advantage. The answer to this question is simple and it’s so easy that you'll probably wonder why you've never used it before. As mentioned earlier the halo effect is a psychological bias that most people have and it causes people to subconsciously assume that attractive people automatically have better personalities, competence, success and so forth. Now to use the halo effect to attract a girl or special partner, all that you need to do is improve your appearance. As I mentioned before, even minor improvements can make a big different so don’t go booking an appointment with a plastic surgeon right after watching this video. When I say minor changes, I mean things like wearing fitted clothing, having a face-suiting haircut, making sure your nails are trimmed and the list goes on.

Moreover, it is bonus points if you can hide your imperfections. Take for example YouTube fitness sensation, Chris Jones from the PumpChasers channel. He admits that he has one of the worst hairlines out there and is constantly wearing a fitted hat to cover this receding hairline. While it is good he can laugh off this imperfection, when trying to maximize the halo effect, wearing a hat makes him look more attractive than without one. Now maybe you don’t have a receding hairline but instead you have a bit of a belly or unappealing birthmarks. By covering up the things that people perceive as unattractive, you will be able to maximize your attractiveness levels.

But remember one important thing, while becoming more attractive will have people increasingly interested in being in your presence, the most important thing is that you prove that your good looks to in fact support the amazing qualities you have by being kind, funny and intelligent so while you are working on your exterior, never forget that what’s inside you counts for just as much!
