Hi, long time lurker, new poster.

I'm having a bit of difficulty getting started in this realm, so to speak. I've never been fully secure with myself, which proved to be an issue that remains to be rectified. I took steps to work that out. I started going to the gym, started eating right, and the benefits started showing it. My lady friends rated me a 7-8, easy... yet I'm not feeling it.

When a girl calls me hot or attractive, I discount it. When one of my friends tells me her friend thinks I'm hot, I automatically come to the assumption that her friend is either crazy or desperate. I work as a paramedic, and I keep getting hit on in uniform. I explain it away as the uniform, not me. I do my job well, and I'm recognized for it. Yet that confidence in my abilities doesn't transfer outside of work.

I grew up as the ugly duckling, and getting my inner game to catch up to what I've grown into is a bit of an issue. I had the night off today, and I went to a bar. A girl and her friend looking for a hookup came up to my table and started chatting with me. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but her friend pretty much torpedoed me and they both left. I think that was the tipping point for me to make an account and post.

I think I know what's wrong at the moment... when I started going to the gym, I'd work on individual muscles without building a solid base to work on through squats, deadlifts, etc. Once I built a solid base, the rest came easy. What's happening here is without that foundation, that inner game, everything else I'm doing is near useless.

How does one build that initial foundation in seduction? I've read posts about inner game in the sidebar, and while it makes sense, I'm having a lot of trouble applying it.
