Both plays can be executed well, but I always preferred the phone number because it’s a bit more personal and the woman has to invest more and give it to you.

Saying a woman has a boyfriend can either be true or just an easy way for the women to reject you without hurting your feelings. The truth isn’t all that relevant because either way it’s a rejection.

If 75% of the women you approach have boyfriends you’re moving too fast. Slow the whole interaction down. The “I have a boyfriend” response is an automated response particularly because they aren’t comfortable with you or are uncomfortable in general. It’s also the most common response anyone just starting out or “rushing” gets. Slow the interaction down.
