I know a lot of guys starting out have a hard time even talking to women. Currently I'm sitting in the mall waiting on my GF to try on clothes and a girl had some shoes that she was going to try on and I thought they were pretty cool. So I said "I saw those shoes over on the shelf, those are really cool." She laughed just a little and said thanks I like them too. Try to just comment on things you see. That's it nothing more, but I think little things like this could help some shyer people start to open up more.
