Awesome review! Keep this up, please!
Basically the first day of the series (5 hour sessions per day) will be about tearing down limiting beliefs and establishing the framework for the new set of beliefs of the "sexworthy man" as they call it. It's amazingly transformative stuff and I do recommend everybody check it out.
The looks/money talk has to be extreme. Of course Tyler knows they are beneficial (why do you think he just lost 60 lbs in like one year!) but it's important to get that negative frame out of your mind.
And, speaking as someone with a very prestigious job title, the tidbit about it being a liability is very true. It can be intimidating to girls.

I have to say The Blueprint Decoded is the absolute best DVD/Book/anything (so far) I have ever discovered out of the PUA community, and it goes way beyond pick-up.

In my opinion the first 4-5 hours are pretty slow. It get WAY better after that. Just a little disclaimer. Thanks for doing this, I might follow your lead and review the Flawless Natural for everyone.

Haha, reminds me of something people say about War and Peace.

I've just finished watching the series myself. Most of it went over my head towards the end but the beginning half (Day 1&2) was pretty solid.
Watch out for the dude with ADHD. He is hilarious.

Yeah if Tyler didn't start shushing him that could've easily been a six day seminar.

I guess I'll write the dissenting opinion. The Jeffy Show is better IMO, very amusing stories mixed with good tactical advice. BPD is more like a giant pep talk with Tyler screaming "Feel Good! Be Happy!" at random for 20 hours, like he's trying to start a cult but not quite sure how.

I think they complement each other well. Jeffy is so good for marketing "RESPECT THE COCK! WOO" but also extremely intelligent and articulate. Tyler is the philosopher-type and wouldn't do as well, business wise, on his own. But there are some rock solid insights hidden in Blueprint if you can really grasp it. But on a bootcamp I bet you Jeffy is a lot more fun.
Frankly all of RSD's products are pretty good.

Being an INTJ I feel like BPD was way too long for the amount of actionable info it contains. And too inner-game-centric. I am pretty skeptical that any book or video can significantly improve a random AFC's inner game. I rejected most of BPD as way outside my reality when I watched it. Whereas, Jeffy spends a lot of time talking about how he was a drunken loser with a shit job and fucked up childhood who banged rediculously fat chicks, who dug himself out and created a decent life, and in a depressed state you can feel a rapport with him for that..

After much reflection and introspection, here is what I think to be the ideal pattern for self-development with this stuff...
1) Start with a clean slate and an open mind
2) Begin with an overview of inner game principles such as BPD. It will be over your head but it's important to let it sink in a bit.
3) Actively learn and implement outer game strategies and techniques. Spend as much time as humanly possible learning social dynamics and seeing how pickup really works. Post field reports and learn from others.
4) Seriously dive into inner game material and meditate on it. Focus on achieving mini-breakthroughs during an extensive period of gaming. Explore concepts like calibration, state and momentum to the maximum degree possible. Continue to write FRs and reflect.
5) Give back to the community.

Well said man.

Has anybody seen the foundations series by RSD? Watching it now and I'd be willing to do a similar notes/review type posting on it. Very basic and standard stuff but varies from a lot of the old-school pickup as well by being less try hard which definitely appeals to me.
[–]TofuTofu 0 points1 point2 points 15 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Can you summarize it a bit? I always dismissed Foundations at very basic but I never actually watched it.
[–]wheelsspinning 0 points1 point2 points 15 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
that's exactly what it is, just very basic stuff, but i think summaries/notes from it could be good for new guys here such as myself. I am watching it now and taking notes anyways so I will post them afterwards.

Nice review, I'll definitely keep reading these. I'm about halfway through blueprint myself, I've been burning through the audio version on my work commute. It's awesome stuff, and it's really been putting everything I know about pickup into a new context. I found the first four or five sessions to be boring, maybe that was stuff I already have well-internalized, but after that it starts to get interesting, so keep it up. I haven't even finished it yet and I'm already planning on rewatching many of the videos.
Thanks for the review, I really have been meaning to check this out.

I listened through the first couple of sessions of this two or three years ago, and it really had an incredible impact on my self-confidence. I had planned on revisiting the Blueprint soon since my interest in this stuff has picked back up, and this summary reminded me of why. What a good series!
