Call her.

Humor variant:

“Hey stranger. Sorry I didn’t call you sooner. It’s been one of those weeks. You know, I was looking at Yelp! the other day, and I saw this ___ place I wanted to go to. Have you ever been to it? ___. Well, if it’s not one of those weeks for you too next week, I’d like to formally take you on a date, me lady. I can send you a formal invitation too, on a scroll 📜 with a wax seal.”

Direct variant:

“Hey you. I was thinking about you. Are you free this weekend? I was going to go to ___, and I think I’d have a better time if you were keeping me company.”

Indirect variant:

“Hey you. How are you? ... Yeah, this week just ripped me a new one too. I literally just closed my eyes at 6pm the other day and opened up my eyes in what seemed like 3 seconds later, and it was 10pm. ... you know, I was thinking about you earlier. I don’t want to come off as forward or pushy, but I just prefer to communicate clearly and directly. If you’re free one of these days, I’d like to take you out to ____, if you’re never been there.”

My philosophy is, a lot of guys out there are either:

clueless (BP)
nervous / shy (BP)
emulating the motions of PUA
hardcore PUA
beyond PUA and hardcore RP
beyond RP and cocky/arrogant

What’s rare is a guy who is comfortable and not trying to come off as something (anything, doesn’t matter what he’s trying to come off as). What’s also rare is a guy who feels comfortable and secure enough to play with an open hand and court her from a position of strength and courtesy (not weakness and obligation).

Biggest complaint of women today dating:

he takes too long to call
he’s playing games
he just wants to Netflix and chill

Don’t just not be that. Take pleasure in communicating to her that you’re interested in her and respect her too much to even go close to that territory. That being said, don’t fall into the friend zone, turn into Mr. Nice Guy, or fall into the trap of making the relationship asexual or waiting 2+ months without being intimate. You’re playing open hand and honest, she’s playing open hand and honest. If not, then you’ll take your chances with someone else, and so will she. Courtesy has its limits. If your honesty and level of dating is not reciprocal, then you need to be fair to yourself, be faithful to your firm boundary and cut off limit, and stop.

But, assuming she’s not that kind of girl, I personally like to approach dating trusting the other person and having no expectations or negative assumptions (unless proven otherwise). It sets a healthy tone from the get go of the relationship. If you start off nervous and shy, she’s going to be seeking clarity, attention and validation from you, or feel like you’re playing games, and she’s going to get defensive and closed off, which is in turn going to make you defensive, and it’s just downhill from there.

That’s just my opinion.

It depends how well you know the girl and what the context is. Without more information we can't really advise. The biggest general benefit to a phone call (again I don't know your situation) is that it is considered unique in this day and age. In order to be viewed as a unique man amongst MANY other possible partners for her is to stand out. A confident, interesting or funny (preferably all three) phone call can be immensely attractive. When I call a woman up instead of texting her the attraction seems to spike a LOT.

Calling is better, being scared of rejection is weak, being scared doesn't attract women and will cause them to reject you. Women are attracted to masculine, confident men, work on being that man.

Call her; you’re more likely to get an instant answer than playing a waiting game through text. It’s also more intimate than texting her
