So last night I went out with two friends, Charlie and Danny, to a popular festival in the city. I knew that a girl I was texting with on Tinder, Ellie, was going to the same festival, so I told her that we could meet there.

Now, Charlie says we need to find a girl, Alice. He tells us they went out together once a few months ago, she said it couldn't work and disappeared. Now out of nowhere, she writes to him and says she’s at the festival too. So we find Alice in a super crowded square, she’s with a friend, Bonnie. Charlie and Alice immediately start dancing very closely, while Danny, Bonnie, and I exchange a few words, but nothing much, and after a little while, I leave to go to the bathroom.

Meanwhile, Ellie stops responding to me, total ghosting. When I return to the square, Alice and Charlie have disappeared who knows where. Danny and Bonnie are having a pretty awkward attempt at a conversation, and as soon as I arrive, Danny takes advantage, says goodbye, and goes home.

I’m left alone with Bonnie; I don’t really like her. I take my wingman role seriously and start chatting to entertain her, I must say the conversation flows quite smoothly, zero pressure because I was just talking to pass the time. In the end, she says something like, "well, even if we are third-wheeling, it doesn't mean we can't have fun, shall we dance?"

We start dancing, I’m a disaster, she is too, and while dancing she gets closer and we kiss. We continue dancing and making out for a while, until finally, Alice and Charlie return, hugging and kissing. The four of us stay together for a few minutes. Suddenly, Alice turns and starts dancing with a random huge shirtless muscle guy behind us, very closely. Charlie looks at me bewildered, I respond by shrugging, no idea what’s going on. He watches them for a while until he goes to get Alice and brings her back to us.

Within a minute, Alice and Bonnie walk away without saying anything. I already know they’re never coming back, I can feel it. Charlie wants to wait, we wait for forty minutes in the same spot, he finally accepts the reality, and we leave.

The next morning Alice writes to Charlie, "It was really nice seeing you, shall we meet again?"

Can you confirm that this is completely chaotic and absolutely unpredictable behavior? 😂
