I was walking back into my hotel here and walked past the desk. Made eye contact with the cute (I thought) girl behind the counter. Seemed promising. She was all alone, it was late. I thought about it for like 2 minutes, then walked over and told her " hey, you looked lonely, I figured I'd come say hi." Turns out she was not the best looking, little older than I thought, and responded: "O, no, I'm actually pretty busy auditing the day's numbers." I did not seek to further this, but what I should have done: "Auditing" was her way of disqualifying, IOD. Proper response: O really, look at you, big miss math whiz over here can add triple digits. Does anyone have advice for continuing with sets in which they are just not interested in talking to, for practice? Made Brief eye contact. Dealt with mid-level AA. Busted it and approached. I was not interested after all but was glad I made the move. +1.
