I'd like to help, but first I'm wondering, what's it like being a student in America? It kind of seems like high school with more freedom till you hit 21? How mature are the girls compared to high school? What kind of stuff do you do rather than going to a club?
I'm a student in England and I've been going to clubs since I was like 17, so the idea of you being in university and kind of being stuck at home is odd to me. Our high schools aren't much different to yours but obviously, with the drinking and club age being lower here, university is massively different to high school.
Also, the thing about dating being too formal, just don't call it a date, just say 'let's hang out' or whatever. To be honest, regardless of age, I'd only ever call something a date if it was a dinner date, it's much better to just hang out and do something interesting.

Oh right, in that case I can help haha. I find uni is much more suited to you just hooking up with someone one night and moving from there. For example, at a house party or hooking up with a friend of a friend on a night out. It's honestly easy as shit. The downside is girls tend to get reallllllllllly drunk, which I'm not a big fan of.
However, you always have the option of just going out, and if you go out you just act the same as anyone not in university would, it doesn't make much difference.
I know what you mean about dates, but like I said before, don't call them dates and they become much more normal. Just say 'lets hang out' and go do something.
As for the messaging, it's true that they'll want to message you more and stuff, but it won't happen until you're 'seeing each other'. They aren't likely to text a lot you until they're interested in seeing you on a regular basis, by which point you can text her all you want (unless you don't want a relationship, of course). If they start messaging you constantly before that point just don't get involved in it.
I guess a little depends on which city you're in, if it's a campus university or not. What university do you go to?

That's fair enough. I find that campus uni's aren't as fun going out wise, you only end up meeting students from your uni which can suck. City based universities tend to have 2, maybe even 3 universities worth of students going to the same places.
How do you stall once you get the number? Do they flake or do you just not know what to do from there?

Try this instead, rather than setting up a date, which can be quite intimidating unless you know each other already or she's quite in to you, frame it as 'I'm gonna go to x (insert bar/club/activity) today/tonight, it's gonna be fun, you should come along!'. It's also important to mean what you're saying. Don't tell her you're going to a club and she should come along, and then when she says she's busy you just stay at home. If you have her on facebook, go out, have a good time, take pictures and she'll see what she missed out on by not coming out with you.
Another possible problem, which would explain why you're not getting past number closes in clubs/bars is that you aren't building enough attraction when you meet them the first time. Use kino effectively, be interesting to talk to, dance with them and you'll get past a number close. To be honest, that's probably the most likely reason you're having problems.

I'm a college student in America.... FML.... Just joking, college is a lot different in America than high school is. You really have to step up your game, the work load is so much more(for good reason, high school isn't hard) that it makes most of the kids grow up and realize that it is time to... Well do work, son. I don't live on campus, I live in a small house with about 4 of my friends, we live about 10 minutes away from the school and 3 minutes away from the beaches in San Diego. We all pull have to study quite a bit and work our jobs to pull our rent but I think it is worth it in the end, because there is nothing easier than getting with a girl from your college when you can bring her to watch the moon light by the beach.

We turn "being stuck at home" into a party.
The 21 age limit is a nuisance but doesn't prevent anybody from drinking. There's alcohol everywhere on campus. Even if you aren't 21, you probably know at least one person who is or has a fake ID, so actually getting alcohol isn't a problem. So there's tons of parties on campus, in the dorms or at frat houses. Almost always incredibly cheap shit, like Natural Ice (Natty Ice) or Busch Lite or Aristocrat vodka.
People go to clubs too. You can still get in if you're under 21, they just draw big X's on your hands with a marker to let the bartenders know you can't buy alcohol, or something similar. So everybody pre-games... which is what we'd be doing anyway, since alcohol at clubs is expensive. And pre-gaming is done back in the dorms with the aforementioned cheap shit.

American student here, it's more wild before you turn 21. People drink more, and do more hilarious stupid shit because being drunk is taboo. The girls are the same as from high school, but a lot easier to take home. No dating, no serious romance, at least not from my experience.

Hangout with them, make them your friends. Lots of stuff is towards people in college. Create a nice group of friends, including friends that are girls.
It'll make it easier to 'hang' 1 on 1 with a girl which is like a date anyways. People in that age range are afraid of dating since it's too "formal" so just ask to hang out or get coffee

This is the answer right here with the addition of make their friends YOUR friends as well. In college and some of the different places I lived throughout my 20's it was all about creating a good group of friends, both male and female. Earn the respect and admiration of the men, become a leader, and the women will follow. Don't fixate on a target, just build a rep as a fun guy. Find a girl that is down for something casual and the others will take notice. Always maintain your cool. It's not about game, it's about rep. For maximum results, target small house parties and get togethers instead of bars. Work the kitchen as it's a good place to engage girls and everybody will be in there at some point. Start a good conversation with a male or female and rope in a potential target with a question. Invite them into the discussion.

'ello mate. I would be your friendly neighborhood American student studying in a City University in London(absolutely more fun than a campus uni).
I am new to this Seddit, thing but have never really had a problem with the ladies. I think the transition from number to date/hang out is a tricky one in the campus uni situation. You should try and make the meet up for the girl you are trying to get as convenient for her as possible. Now wait here comes the good part. Unlike what is popular on this subreddit, texting, it is your go to in dorm life. It's convenient for girls, so use this as a way to get to know her. More specifically, use it to figure out a place to meet that she won't flake out on. Ask her what she like, favorite place to eat, where does she hang out, etc.
Texting is pretty much your way to do market research: it lets you know where to take her, when to take her, and how she would like it to go. You just have to text the right questions. Good Luck.

This subreddit is about improving yourself so that you are an attractive person, so that you feel better about yourself and so that you attract more women, not manipulate them.
