There's a girl in my philosophy class that I've been drooling over for the past couple of months. The very first day of class I caught her looking at me and thought she was cute. A few months later I decided that I would talk to her after class. It seriously took me a month to gather up the balls to do it. During that class she talked about a dream theory from a book she read and how it related to the class. She was responding to a girl next to me who began the topic and even though she was probably looking at the girl next to me, each time she would look over I seriously got a hard on. The way she talks is elegant yet sophisticated and it seriously turns me on.

Class ended and I knew I just had to do it. I went up to her and the first thing I said to her was, "So what is that dream theory that you were talking about?"

It caught her off guard and she seemed genuinely interested in explaining it to me. The whole time I tried to look at her but not stare and glance down at the floor sometimes. She was very confident and I got lost in her words. It was difficult to say anything in response to that, so I asked her if she read any books, what's her major, etc.

The kicker to the story was when I asked her if she was a sophomore, she replied that she was actually 23 and that threw me for a spin. I'm only 20 years old and that seriously changed the whole conversation for me. She's a mature 23 year old WOMEN and I'm just a young sprout at college. I seemed to be lacking confidence in the conversation, saying I don't know what I want to do for a major or what I'm doing next year. From that point on (after she told me she was 23), it felt like the conversation had no purpose and I was merely having a casual conversation with a person to fill the walk back to my car. I asked her If she had a job and she didn't seem interested in telling me about it.

I felt defeated, and words that were naturally flowing out of my mouth ceased to exist. As we came to where the parking lot is, I didn't feel like I should ask her for her number or anything, so instead I just said, "Well, It was nice talking to you" and forgot to give eye contact....

I see her every few days in class but she hasn't come up and talked to me even if I hold the door for her. Is she a lost cause? Has a boyfriend? Or should I go up to her again and talk to her and ask her out on a date? I've never had a girl that was not interested in talking to me like she was but I can't get over how gorgeous or smart she is. Thanks for reading the whole story and any points or tips would be greatly appreciated!
