Comparing Yourself

How do you guys get into the state where it doesn't bother you that you "lost" to another guy that seems to have it better and is more natural. It's a shitty feeling.

That's what I would like to know. I've seen some other people here have tried to explain this phenomena using evolutionary, biological explanations. They have said that we feel that we because we feel rejected again. That doesn't make it any easier on me, but because I understand that it's in my DNA to feel this way, I understand that and am able to brush it off easier.

Also, it's really unhealthy to compare yourself to other people. Try to stop. As time has passed, I've seen guys that were total loser in high school become extremely successful, don't compare yourself, just try to make yourself a better person.

Well, I've been there personally. but I thing the most logical way of overcoming is realizing that everyone has a different and while this girl chose the guy over you, there might be another girl ( which might be better than the original girl in your view ) that chooses you over the other guy. It's a great big world. There are all kinds of tastes and choices. By comparing yourself you just make yourself sad and it does NOT alter anyone's opinion of you.

Honestly the best way to get over this is to work on your three fundamentals. Lifestyle, courage and communication. Develop each of these as much as possible and try to invest in yourself as much as you can. Instead of comparing yourself to them, compare yourself to where you are. Thoughts create feelings/emotion, instead of overly comparing yourself to others. Just realize how amazing you truly are

Tell yourself that she made the wrong choice. It was nothing you did or could change, it was her bad decision making.

B/c you will learn amazing lessons in the long run if you're grateful for any kind of life experience you have.

Think of comparison as a female trait. A masculine man wouldn't compare himself or be jealous right? Always be happy for other people's successes.
