Hey guys, so I started taking this shit seriously about 2 weeks ago. I'm already a normal, social, average joe. I can approach confidently and not get blown out (sometimes there's just disinterest and I get a yellow light so I move along), but I can't seem to progress the interaction far enough.

I transferred to a pretty big college in the east coast that has a large greek life and plenty of hot girls. I might be a little to into my head but my social life isn't huge right now and I've seen in a lot of these college bars with plenty of big groups that include sorority girls and frat guys. Apprently the frat guys here have a lot of success due to social value and meeting girls through friends of friends and such.

I tend to approach direct and although it works out sometimes and I get a number, a lot of times the girls don't seem that surprised. Tonight I actually told a girl "you look like you get this a lot" cause her reaction to my opening line seem very monotonous (I opened with, "Hey, this might sound a little forward but I saw you from across the bar and thought you were adorable") and she answered with "Yeah, cause we get that ALL THE TIME."

I'm wondering if it's the way I delivered the line or if I should simply just try something else. I know that "the opener doesn't really matter", which is why I'm thinking I'm overanalyzing this. But there's something "off" and I can't figure out what it is. Any advice would be appreciated. The bars don't have a great ratio here, but a lot of the girls here are HOT and I want to take my game to the next level.
