I was wondering what you guys think about nicknames in regards to girls you're interested in. Half of me thinks that it helps form a special connection between the two of you, the other half thinks it drives you further into the friendzone.

My personal example is that me and a girl I like call each other 'sausage' based on an in-joke that we share. It's also a bit of light teasing.

What are your views on this?
