So I was looking at this post from a few months back (which is great, by the way, and probably should be added to quazzy's sidebar list) when I ran across a reference to Conquer Your Campus by Mark Redman. I just downloaded it and started reading - you can find it easily with a google search - and it seems pretty interesting. It has quite a strong thesis - basically, that the type of normal game the PUA community preaches, or at least that of Gamers like Mystery (maybe not the Wygant-style game that is justifiably preferred here) doesn't work as well in college, and that focusing on building your social sphere is a much more important aspect of college game than it is in the "real world." His explanation seems pretty convincing - see my comment for a summary - but I was wondering what you guys thought about it. Have any of you already read it and tried applying his ideas? Does it seem like a better framework for approaching college? Even if there are flaws or oversimplifications in his theory, the fundamental idea of "social spheres are much more important in college" feels right. If it's true, it seems pretty important, since a big segment of the 12.5k subscribers here are college students.

Also, he focuses specifically on large (20,000+) schools with a dominant frat/sorority scene. How do you think things differ for smaller schools that don't have much Greek life, or universities in other counties?
