I'd like to share an exercise that's helping me kick my own ass into gear, and that's taking a break from watching any and all pickup content and only going out into the field.

If you're like me you spent an embarrassingly long period of time just learning shit, re-reading "The Game," etc, before getting up the courage to go out and take action. Even when you start to take action it's easy to just mentally masturbate to new content all too often.

This has been covered before ad nauseum but the only way you learn is field experience, content without action is meaningless because you have nothing to compare it to. You can't just watch hours of a video of someone driving a car and expect to jump behind the wheel and go 80 down the freeway.

I got this idea from a quasi-mentor I have and he said that at a certain point you have to trust yourself and become your own coach. It's scary but I think it may be what a lot of people need.
