Had a girl cancel on me Friday.. Texted her.. Some other time then =). Called some buddies and a couple of hours later was in a club meeting new girls!

If it happens frequently, it might have something to do with your approach - in the here and now, when the girl's in front of you, she enjoys your company enough to agree to a date. On reflection, she changes her mind about you. Why?

If most of the dates you get are the result of hooking up with girls in lively places like clubs, bars, gigs, parties etc, there may be a dissonance between how she feels about you when in 'party mode' and how she feels in the cold light of day.

At the party, she'll agree to a date because you seem fun and work the room well. But over the following days, she worries that you don't have enough in common, that your rapport was superficial, and you'll fail to make a meaningful connection if you meet again.

The only way to protect against this is to make sure that in the initial meeting you're not just providing entertainment to the girl, but making a deeper connection she can get excited about. When she tells her mates about you, rather than just being "some funny guy I met at the party" you're the "really cool guy at the party that seemed to 'get' me".

That's the point of doing an activity together that you would do regardless such as running, cinema etc. That way its a lot easier to be nonchalant about it compared to inviting her on a restaurant date.

For the mean time, try waiting. Remember, "A mouse not chased becomes curious about the cat."

I don't know if they intentionally do it but how you react to it is important to whether or not you get a first date in the future.

Burntmoney handled that situation correctly, just be laidback about it. This conveys that you're cool, laidback, nonneedy, confident, all attractive qualities to a woman.
