Hello everyone! First post on this sub, but I've been reding it for a little while now.
This isn't an advice threat so if youre here for that I'm sorry I couldn't give you an answer. Maybe check the comments of this post.
My question is about how to handle dead conversations on dating platforms. Generally, when a girl has stopped responding to me, but has not unmatched me, I just leave it alone and don't double message. I do this because someone with abundance and high value doesn't need to worry about whether or not the girl is interested or wants to talk or not.
Today I made an exception to that and after the conversation died I waited a day and sent another message. I did this because the girl was very attractive and I thought it could be a good experiment. Here is the very short conversation:
*this was on hinge. I responded to one of her prompts that said something along the lines of "don't match with me if you hate morning people"
Me: "I dont hate morning people I hate mornings themselves!"
Her: "lol, why? They are the best part of the day!"
Me: "What makes them the best? I like looking back on a good day more than looking forward to one."
*this is where it died and 24ish hours later I sent this:
Me: "Geez, maybe I should hate morning people!"
Her: "Why? Because I didn't message you back ASAP? Get out of here. See ya bro."
*at this point I figured she didn't catch the sarcasm. I decided that explaining it or apologising was too beta and that someone with abundance would just go with the flow.
Me: "Have a nice night."
*Then she unmatched.
So is my initial tendency of letting it go when it dies my best option? Or, should I have just not used sarcasm? Were do you think I went wrong? Thanks for any, and all, advice!
