TLDR: Basically my journey in the seduction world and leaving it. Not bad just outgrown it.
Story time: As an autistic dude, 5 years ago, I felt that I was behind many other dudes when it came to talking to the opposite sex and no one else in my life or mainstream media would provide answers I needed. Like I would ask people who were more successful with dating how to do it, or watch a mainstream tv or read a mainstream book and they would say vague shit like "just be confident" or "Be yourself" or "focus in on your yourself and women will come", which I do not necessarily think this is terrible advice (except last one), but it was terrible for me. My base self is fairly odd and off putting to most people so just being yourself more would not work.
Then being more confident just led to me being obxious which led to many social cues being missed which ultimately led to more social isolation. Plus, it never helped me when I needed those "harder" questions like how/when to ask a women for her number or how to go up to a women and talk to her...there is no amount of be yourself, be confident that can help with these questions. The answer people would give would be "just feel it out" essentially, and for me, as someone that does not naturally get social interactions, I needed more. I needed my interactions to be broken down to a mechanical level so that I would have a template I could apply to future situations.
That's when I discovered the seduction community. They were people that promised that they could help dudes (and women) improve their social skills mostly in the name of attracting a mate. To which I think they delivered. Unlike say the self help crowd that mainly was about mindset but no action or very minimal action, seduction was fairly actionable with some schools of thought having a fairly rigid methodology but always putting whatever they did into practice to see how it worked for you. In it, I was able to actually start to make progress with women (get all the milestones), figure out what I did that would turn them off, and improve myself to the point most of my friends come to me for relationship advice as I seem like the dude who knows what to do. I fully believe I would not have reached this point if I had kept with the mainstream advice of "be yourself" and it was through doing drills that I can see tangible results in, I was able to succeed.
Was it all sunshine and rainbows or was their a lot of BS in there? totally some people are obviously snake oil salesmen (fun fact anyone that claims you can get any women by doing this one technique is one of them) and you have to keep your critical thinking active while learning this stuff as it could be more detrimental to yourself then helpful or doing this would compromise your morals. But overall I would say I had a positive experience with the community.
But I am at a point in my life where I do not want to focus in on seduction anymore. You can read about it in my last post here Again, I do think it does not work, but its a skill, and like any skill to keep it going you need to continuously work on it at the higher levels and I just do not have the time to do that anymore. I have more friends, I have work obligations, family obligations, own personal other hobbies I want to indulge in and this just adds to me feeling like this part of my life for now is over.
But I want to thank everyone of you for being awesome through this entire ride, It was fun and maybe ill come back to it later but for now this is where I am getting off . For everyone who felt lost like me keep up with it as you will see results and improvement in your life you would not expect.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
