don't wait for her to be ready. If she is attracted to a guy, she will be ready very quickly. For women the process of letting go of their partner often happens before the relationship ends. Also, your competitors will also not wait.
If you are already friends with her, you should not play with an open hand. Rather increase tension slowly and try to escalate. "it just happened"
don't emotionally invest when nothing has happened yet. Don't base your crush on a phantasy you project on her. You don't know her the slightest as a romantic or sexual partner yet. Never forget the countless other attractive women, who are out there.

Based answer.

Can you elaborate on the second one? How does a person just increase tension?

People, who change their behaviour abruptly, often come across as weird and irritating. It seems unnatural. Also, climbing out of the friendzone is easier, when the other person, does not get, what you are up to. Therefore, it's better to slowly move out of it and towards ambiguous behaviour.
longer eye contact
be more playful and less agreeable
more touching, that theoretically could happen between friends, but slightly hints towards more.
when/if she reacts positively, you can do more of all the mentioned stuff. Til the temperature is high enough to kiss her. "it just happened"
it's the same as any other process of escalation, with the only differences: a) it's slower and the process is stretched over several meet ups. b) ambiguity and plausible deniability are even more important, than in regular seduction.
friendzone -> ambiguous behaviour, that redefines your connection -> "it just happened" -> friendzone no more
Important note: The best thing one can do in OP's situation is to let go of the "crush" to a certain extent. Remind oneself of the countless other attractive women out there. Trying the mentioned things on the "crush", but without forcing a certain outcome, rather viewing it as a natural expression of your sexuality, which is in itself something positive, no matter the outcome, intead of viewing it as a master plan, that must succeed at any cost.

This whole sub is just porn fantasies replying to other porn fantasies
[–]Liberaler 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
what do you mean by that? I see nothing pornographic in this thread ...

I want to put a giant [citation needed] next to every formulaic answer especially yours.

I understand how you feel. The solution is getting more real-life experiences on your own. This will fill the gaps and you will be able see, which advice makes sense and which does not. Of course, you need persistence and the ability to reflect and abstract your own behaviour.

You don't understand... I'm successful at this and married as a result, and I'm telling you that your answer is wrong. Well not exactly wrong, but only works in a very specific circumstance.

I'm successful at this and married as a result,
Nice. But being successful with women, does not automatically mean, you are good at analysing and understanding situations other people are in.
I never claimed it will work in all circumstances. One could zoom in on each point and differentiate more, but when OP asks a general question, the answer will be relatively general as well.
I still think it's OP's best chance for the case he described. But, of course, I'm always open and curious for substantial input. Which points do you see different?

Just by reading this, it feels like i got an entire glimpse of your personality and mentality, and i can tell that you have never got laid before and this crush of yours will probably reject you. It’s like this sub is filled with the same type of guys. that they all start to feel like robots.
Calling it crush, already shows your inexperience with women, someone with experience doesn’t ever refer to any girl he likes as “crush”.
Second mistake, being friends first with a girl you like. Effectively putting yourself into the friendzone.
Someone with experience knows that it’s far easier to have something with a girl if you don’t become friends first, and just focus on hitting on her and escalating things physically without creating a friendship
Moves are made within the first day you meet a girl for the first time.
That’s another problem, you see a girl you like and she doesn’t know you actually desire until ages have passed and when you do, you do it by confessing that you have feelings for her which is the worst way to go about it
Experienced guys just hit on her from the beggining, initiate kino, get physically close to her, look into their lips to build sexual tension, and go for a kiss.
Last mistake: Being a dick is irrelevant, most women prefer dicks anyways even if they don’t admit it in public.
Worrying about nonsense like that, will guarantee another dude will hit on her, have sex with her within hours of meeting her, while you were too busy thinking “oh i have to be nice and respectful of her break up bla bla bla”
