When you as a man feel that something is wrong with a girl, its the truth.

Dude listen. Either you play your role as a man and shoot your shot, and i mean a solid do or die shot, or you leave it. She feels just as awkward as you do, and she is hoping for you to break that barrier. You have a woman here, that is clearly interested in you her personality cant handle the situation. Most women do this when they feel insecure about themselves. She is not playing stupid games at all in this case.

Idk if there is clear signs of attraction. Like there are at times, but then other times it feels like she doesn’t give a shit in the slightest.

Do as the man says. Shoot your do or die shot. The worst thing that a man does to himself during seduction is play it safe. Safe is boring. Ask her out for a proper date. Like dinner and drinks and stuff. The worst thing that can happen is she refusing to go on a romantic type date and killing all your future prospects of a relationship/affair with her. But thats where you are anyway. So big deal. If she says yes, awesome. Have a good time with her and ESCALATE. RIGHT FROM THE GET GO. if she says no, at least you won't waste any more time with/on her.

I could, but it was met with rejection before.
She just throws some hard signs in there so it’s confusing.
I do think I played it safe too much at times, but only because she suddenly became awkward and made it so.
Idk if I needed to have fun and blast through it to make it happen, but idk

You're giving off classic one-itis vibes.

if i had a dollar for everytime some BULLSHIT like that happened to me, well i would have more than one dollar.
i don't know, i dont have the answer. id say ok good, you were clear and direct, you had 2 hangouts, some flirting in between, you were chilling and letting things go slow which is good, things take time. You had some good indicators of interest you were not just making it up. She realized that she was messing it up, joined your for lunch, invited you to the party, back on track right?!
are you sure that she was "there" with the other guy? if yes, then that is messed up and its time to disconnect. If he was not her guy, then maybe she is still into it and you got stuck in your own head. We always talk about social proof and having attention from more than one woman, but we hate it on the receiving end lol. Begging you to stay is maybe a sign you were reading it wrong, or maybe it means nothing
ok story time: I met this lady at a party, we were flirting, had mutual friends, etc etc. I didnt have as many clear signs as you, just wanted to see what happened. Made plans to go to another dj party the next fri. Her msg said "yay see you friday!!". I get there she is with a guy she didnt mention, doesnt care if im there or not?? Like why invite me then? I'm there alone, basically standing there watching them flirt. I come up shes all "oh heyyyyyy" touchy touchy, we talk a bit, she turns back to the other guy. Basically she brought me there to show him that she could replace him quickly, right now if needed, hoping to inspire more jealous passion from him.
Instead she got it from me, I got angry and all up in between them and stared her down with a dirty scowl, and he didn't do a damn thing. Eventually they left together and I left alone. What's the moral of my story? There isn't one. I had no chill which obviously got in my way, but she wasnt going to go with me anyway. She probably went home with that guy, we sent a few messages where she didn't make any kind of apology and i told her to fuck off,
Do you want to turn it around? Or do you want to stop wasting your time on people who are committed to wasting your time?

She begged you to stay and you left. Dude she clearly wanted you and we know you want her, so why didn’t you stay??? Next time, stay and escalate…. You should invite her to your place for a movie night next instead of beating around the bush bro. It’s time to beat her bush.
She brought a dude with her! lol

If he left no factor if not, she’s playing games. Either I would go with the last option I recommended and if that doesn’t work, vanish. She may be using you for free attention

I wouldn’t of missed work for this bs invited you and going with another guy is uncalled for, lose interest for her

It’s hard to want to be physical when her body language is cold and distant.
Is it worth doing when she seems uninterested like that?

But if she’s clearly not into it at the moment, why would you try and escalate? That just becomes creepy
