Anything is better than nothing and will increase your chances. Your mind is playing a trick on you here. You tell yourself in this situations, "I'm allowed to do nothing at all if I have no idea what to say in detail!" But you will not always have a witty line at hand in real life. Why are there guys, who are witty in such situations? Because they put themselves into it repeatably. Maybe run-of-the-mill talking point or plain honesty already would have been enough to create some momentum.

Just go for it.

Introduce yourself, shake her hand. Ask her some general questions and go from ther. Or just lead her to the dancefloor.

Honestly the talk about "stranger danger" responses is significantly overexaggerated. Even during covid I've approached dozens of women in bars and clubs, and never had a seriously negative response.

For me, I'd probably walk over, introduce myself, and joke about offering my expensive bodyguard services but being willing to give her a discount cause she looks interesting.
