It sounds like she is interested. I suggest you operate with that assumption unless and until you have reason to believe otherwise
She has a young daughter and that’s a responsibility that those without children can’t fully understand
I’ve read your post a few times and am missing the part where she “didn’t respond to the date follow up”
Women are mysterious creatures. Some of them like and expect to be pursued ( obviously, in a manner befitting a gentleman). Don’t be shy about reaching out to her. Try and talk rather that text. Texts are great for “good morning” etc, but talking is much better for building a real connection.
Reach out to her, ask her out again. If you don’t ask, the answer is always “no”
Best wishes and I’m curious to see how this works out. Keep us posted

If she’s interested, and all signs seem to point to that being true, She likely has some of the same insecurities you do. Just as you would be elated to know she is really interested, there’s a good chance she would be delighted to know you’re interested too!
Women encounter a lot of flakey, immature men. She’s likely dealt with guys saying they’ll call and failing to follow through. Being an old school gentleman will set you apart from many others. Open doors, including car doors, let her order first at restaurants, stand up if she excuses herself to use restroom. Stand up again when she returns to the table. Send or bring flowers! They work every time they are tried. - please don’t misunderstand me. - I’m not trying to talk down to you or assume you’re clueless. Like anything, solid fundamentals set you up for success.
I’d call her tonight and ask her out again. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. She could have ignored your texts or given a terse reply. She chose not to and used “hearts” that’s a great sign.
There is no downside to letting her know you’re excited to have met her

This response is A1! I’ll call later tonight

Good for you! Let us know how it goes

Right! So it could be what the other user said too about women playing the dial back game. I don’t know whether to pursue or “apply pressure” more or actually dial it back. I don’t want to double text tho lol as weird and “game-y” as that sounds. The last text that was sent was from me just saying my day was good. At the same time it was stale enough that I could double down on something.
I was thinking I could text her tomorrow and just leave today closed. And when I do text her be respectful nice and try to talk on the phone. Just a thought. My intuition I guess

Oh and as far as her not responding to the date follow up. Okay so after the date SHE actually said we should do ____ next time we see each other. So the next day I told her I caught that but we never made anything solid. So she just “hearted” the message to acknowledge she saw it and liked that I said that but never responded to that particular message directly instead she asked how much day was going and hoped to hear from me . I keep in mind about her having a kid always. And it’s true I have no idea how the mind works with that type of responsibility so I’m in uncharted territory with this girl. Never dated a person with a kid before

“Hearting” the message I have found is a positive. I have yet to have things go south or fade/ghost if they are showing that they are into what you are saying. Generally I see it also an indicator of a lack of time/ability to properly. Respond but a desire to put emotion to the response to show sentiment. I have actually taken to utilizing this to emphasize that I am really getting/appreciating what his being told to me.
I would say that she definitely has interest but is probably busy with work/child and just hasn’t been able to really allocate the time for you. If you are really wondering then call. You have already met up and spoken on the phone so what can it hurt?

stop overthinking this. next time you talk to her you set up the next date. if she agrees then you have your answer.

Facts.

Sometimes girls play the "dial back" game. We dial back everything we want to do because we don't want to come across too eager. If you didn't respond after a few hours (which is totally A-okay), she might think she needs to not respond for even longer.
On the other hand, if a guy is constantly texting us and validating us (even if we are doing the same) we might want to give them the hint that they should dial it back just a little bit so we can have something worth fighting for. SOME, not all women, like to earn a man's attention, we don't always want it handed to us on a silver platter.
Perfectly put and I figured it was something like this. It does seem like she likes me so I wasn’t trying to stress about it. It’s definitely a dial back going on it seems. I’m thinking of just waiting for her to text me whenever she feels.

You have received a lot of advice here. None of it is horrible but some of it will not set you up for success. I think the biggest thing here is your mindset and frame and how you’re coming across to her. Double texting is bad within the wrong timeframe. She pulled back and that is exactly what all women do. Seriously all women do it. It’s a test, they are testing your confidence. The correct response is to not double text. Wait a few days. At least 2 best 3/4. Send a meme or funny uninvested text. Remember they want to pursue you. Give her the ability to chase. Women love the chase and the challenge. If she has you then what is left? Leave the gifts and flowers and other bs until after you fucked her.

You ain’t lying bro! I’m definitely laying off. Tbh I gotta bigger fish to fry anyway than worry about her. If she comes, she comes

Congratulations, you're now her big gay girlfriend.
She was DEFINITELY INTO YOU and you just "hugged her"....
She has a daughter, she's definitely been fucked before and she wanted you to fuck her too and you just wasted your time texting her about painting like a teenager.
You murdered the attraction.
The phone is for setting dates ONLY.
You're only conversation with a woman before you've bedded her at least a half a dozen times is
"Hey great to hear from you, when do I get to see you this week?"
She replies when she's available, you say "Great I'll see thursday at 7" then you SHUT THE HELL UP
If I had a dollar for every time I've watched a guy talk his way out of pussy, I'd be a far richer man.

Lmao yea she’s definitely fucked obv but we were out in public. I truthfully didn’t see an opening for that at all. She was leaving in her car. Maybe she did wanna fuck . Maybe car sex. Who knows. I mean dude.. it’s not the end of the world. I’m an attractive pretty confident guy. If I murdered the attraction with her in any way… which I doubt.. I guess that would just be it… but I’ll have more chances to fuck. If not with her than someone else

Never date a single mother.
[–]betterskins 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
😬👀 why? Lol
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
It’s a nightmare you can’t believe. The kid will never like you. You’ll always be a distant 2nd and expect plans you had with the mother to always be changed.
Could be true. It depends. I love my step dad though

Someone has a burned ass.
My same thought lol
[–]willgo-waggins 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I’m a single dad.
My girl and I are working slowly toward an eventual relationship (we both need time to be at the right place for a full commitment but live each other and spend the majority of our “other people time” together) and she is adamant about kit wanting any kids or responsibility for kids. Granted three of mine are grown adults and the youngest is 50/50 and already 12. But she is fine with things because she wants to be with me. I had a life together ex with the same thing. Lived together for seven years. And the kids had nothing to do with the final breakup.
I have dated a lot of single moms and had zero issues. I don’t feel that you introduce the kids right off. That’s not necessarily a healthy thing for anyone. Hell my girl just met my older son for the first time last weekend (he’s 21) because he was dropping us off at an event and we have been seeing each other for seven months. Fortunately she absolutely adored him. Not she is much more comfortable with that aspect of things too. But it had to wait for its proper time.
