Talks down about everyone and everything.A god complex basically. My ex wanted all my attention and if she ever screwed up something she’d blame me or anyone but her. She scratched herself and tried to get her brother to beat me up

Learn to trust your gut.
Looking back, every single person who has victimized me horribly has given me an uneasy feeling in my gut.
Don’t wait for your mind to justify the feeling. Act on the feeling when you notice it. When someone makes you feel uneasy inside, stop giving them access to you.

"I mean, I have interactions with lots of women and no one ever said I raped them. I never worried about it"
Until it happens. Women will pull that card as it suits them. For example... friend of mine and his wife are in the middle of a divorce. When he first told me she had left with another man, and they were going to end things amicably... FIRST thing I asked him was, "do you have an attorney". He did not, and I told him to get one right away because she might pull anything. If she was willing to lie to you and sleep with other men, then anything is on the table. Sure enough, after he gets a lawyer, she files paperwork on him for spousal rape as the grounds for her leaving and the divorce. I have known this guy for years and know this never happened. On top of it, their kids never witnessed anything like this and the police were never called to their home. Not even her friends or coworkers had heard anything about such events. Although, many of them knew she was sleeping around. He's been through the wringer on this now... but he sure is glad he took my advice and got an attorney.

We really need an actual definition of rape so we can actually hold real predators accountable. Simply asking your spouse to have sex, even if you have to through a “please” in shouldn’t be “spousal rape.” Getting too drunk and hooking up with someone, then having regrets shouldn’t be assault. Obviously if one person is taking advantage of the other than of course that’s assault, but I’ve seen the argument that alcohol removes the ability to consent. Like that means all hookups after a drink or a night out are technically assault? It’s a weird thing where it can just be whatever someone feels like it should be. It can just be thrown around like a tactical nuke. Idk I’m in college so maybe it’s not such a huge deal in a few years but I know a few girls who seem to get assaulted constantly and others who never have issues going to the same parties hooking up with the same dudes.

Sick that you can't possibly think your friend, without a doubt, absolutely did not rape his wife. Abusers keep abusing by making everyone else believe they're perfect. This just means you're gullible and biased. NEXT!

Wow... another one of those "men are bad, women are good" no matter what the evidence says kinda BS mentality. I think you are the gullible party here.

This has nothing to do with gender... this is you being a rape apologist. Do better.

Clearly you have issues. Please take them someplace else. Thank you.

That’s like telling women they can’t go around worrying about getting raped
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh... I don't worry about these things at all. However, its called insurance. And oh, it does happen. Why do you think we have lawyers.
Of course it is!!!!

This pretty much never happens and you’re afraid because of bullshit you’ve seen on social media. Normal, healthy and rational people do not think about this sort of thing. If this is at the front of your mind often enough to ask about on reddit, chances are your paranoia is driving women away from you.
It’s also fucking insane to suggest that the legal system “empowers” women to do this when the VAST majority of rape cases don’t result in anything at all. I don’t know when people started to believe these totally ideological and fantastical notions about the justice system as it pertains to women, but this is so obviously just misogynistic myth.
At the end of the day, why would a woman lie to ruin your life more than any other person in your life? There are so many other more likely ways for someone to ruin your life by making a concerted and deliberate attempt to do so- most people are good people, but what if someone decides to just randomly hit you with their car and cripple you forever while you’re walking across the street? Seems just as likely to me, rape cases aren’t composed of a flippant “he did it” and the victim gets to go on with their day. They need to hate you enough to want to go through many many hoops, and even then- why would it be you that faces a false claim anyway?
